Excess Bandwidth
Hi,
I''m trying to configure QoS on my linux in the following manner:
I have a main link with 64K, so I divided it in 3 classes of 18K, 14K
and 9K with an excess (not used for classified traffic, just to be
shared) of 23K. This excess should be distributed proportonally among
the 3 classes, that is, the class that has more rate should borrow more
bandwidth. What is happening is just the opposite, the class that has
less rate is borrowing more bandwidth. A representation of my
"hierarchical class layout&quo...

zfs send/receive : panic and reboot
<copied from opensolaris-dicuss as this probably belongs here.>
I kept on trying to migrate my pool with children (see previous threads) and had the (bad) idea to try the -d option on the receive part.
The system reboots immediately.
Here is the log in /var/adm/messages

[newbie] aggregating table() results and simplifying code with loop
Dear all,
I'm looking for primary help at aggregating table() results and at
writing a loop (if useful)
My dataset ( http://goo.gl/gEPKW ) is composed of 23k rows, each one
representing a point in the space of which we know the land cover over
10 years (column y01 to y10).
I need to analyse it with a temporal sliding window of 5 years (y01 to
y05, y02 to y06 and so forth)
For each period I'm looking for specific sequences (e.g., Maize,
-noMaize, -n...

[LLVMdev] The poor organization of TargetLowering (and related subclasses) is out of hand
(Sorry for CC'ing piles of people, but didn't want folks to miss this in
the mailing list churn.)
See the subject. The problem is in the target-independent code generator
and especially in the x86 backend.
I would like to fix it. This will be a mechanical change just organizing
code in a way that makes it easy and fast to find methods and related
static helpers. It will not change any

Performance with Sun StorageTek 2540
Under Solaris 10 on a 4 core Sun Ultra 40 with 20GB RAM, I am setting
up a Sun StorageTek 2540 with 12 300GB 15K RPM SAS drives and
connected via load-shared 4Gbit FC links. This week I have tried many
different configurations, using firmware managed RAID, ZFS managed
RAID, and with the controller cache enabled or disabled.
My objective is to obtain the best single-file write performance.
