replacing values in a vector
Hello list. I have a vector of values: eg > head(diff_mirs_list) [1] "hsa-miR-26b" "hsa-miR-26b" "hsa-miR-23a" "hsa-miR-27b" "hsa-miR-29a" [6] "hsa-miR-29b" and I would like to conditionally replace each value in this vector with a number defined in a dataframe: > fc ???????????? Probe ave.fc 1?????? hsa-let-7a?? 1.28 2????? hsa-miR-100?? 1.47 3? hsa-miR-125a-5p?? 1....

Re: samba 3.0.23a Cannot join network
I had the same problem after upgrading to 3.0.23a. I have one samba PDC running a basic setup back to the smbpasswd file, and one that runs OpenLDAP. The former did exactly as yours, and I ended up rolling back to version 3.0.23. On the latter, the smb process refused to run, reporting that it could not contact the database. I ended up hav...

RPM reporting running two versions of Samba at the same time
I was trying to work through a PDC problem that I was having with 3.0.23a noted in bug 3964. I didn't know how to apply the offered patch and my distro, FC4, has not offered an update yet to 3.0.23b so I thought that I would revert to a previous version that is not affected by this bug. I forced an install of 3.0.23 samba, common, and client and now rpm reports tha...

Strange lock problem + sporadic massive slowdown
...t = No hide files = /.*/desktop.ini/ oplocks = False level2 oplocks = False log level=1 wins support = yes reset on zero vc = yes Problem 2: Once in a week or two we experience the exact behavior as mentioned here : http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2006-August/123652.html, which was fixed in 23a already? Files (in our case word docs) suddenly (often after a crash) are locked by the user who is actually trying to re-open the file (statically assigned ip address via bootp). When I kill the user's process the lock is still active and stays while I can mv around the file as I want to. O...

Only admin user can print?
Hi all, after upgrading a FC3 box to FC4 which comes with Samba 3.0.23a rpm's, I have the really strange effect that /only/ "admin users" can print to printers shared by the Samba server. Even a double click on the printer in Win gives an "access denied". The access to "normal" shares (homes etc.) still works fine. Any idea what wen...

Anyone mind helping me get the MXIT pc client working?
Mxit is a mobile chat application, most probably the main means of communication for the younger generation in South Africa. I've recently moved over to Kubuntu Hardy, and would like to get the PC client working, as mobile java emulators cannot handle the app very well on linux for some reason. Link to program http://www.mxit.com/mxitpc/ (don't worry about registering, if the client runs

[PATCH 0/9] tools: remove or disable old/useless/unused/unmainted stuff
depends on "autoconf: regenerate configure scripts with 4.4 version" This series removes some of the really old deadwood from the tools build and makes some other things which are on their way out configurable at build time with a default depending on how far down the slope I judge them to be. * nuke in tree copy of libaio * nuke obsolete tools: xsview, miniterm, lomount & sv *
