(mostly) self documenting schema
I have to write/maintain a document describing schema being used in my Rails application. I have about 7+ tables. I would like to use ActiveRecord (or something similar) to dynamically generate the parts of the document with column names, types, attributes, etc. Is there code out there for this? If not do you think AR would support this? Thanks, -mat -- Posted via

More libshout questions
Okay, I am using libshout to stream to a NullSoft Shoutcast server. I am using libmad and libmp3lame to do re-encoding on the fly. I am streaming to the server (currently) with shout_send_raw(). When I try to use shout_metadata_add(), I get a segfault in strdup(). Anyone have any ideas as to why? Everything else works fine, just not the metadata. Thanks In Advance, Deven --- >8 ----

Index cache file problems in Dovecot 1.2.0
I've been seeing lots of index cache file errors (using mbox on Solaris 8 sparc 64-bit, but with 32-bit Dovecot) since I switched my account to Dovecot 1.2.0 (we're still on 1.0.15 mostly, but I'm hoping to upgrade to 1.1.17+ this summer, or 1.2.x if it's stable enough). e.g. Error: Corrupted index cache file <path>/.imap/INBOX/dovecot.index.cache: field index too large (47

Interrupt levels
I''m tracking performance on the machine I installed yesterday. mutt running on one Xen instance, accessing via imap to another instance, accessing via nfs the maildir in another instances, seems little laggy when moving up and down the message index list. Network latency seems low < 30ms on average. So I was tracking vmstat. On the mutt instances is seems reasonable: [nic@shell:~]
