Killing ssshd seassions
...e ut_pid in it.. It works fine if the user is not loged trought ssh. If the user has a sshd seassion, killing the ut_pid doesnt work though. I've done some workaround and got to this point : ps -aux root 26621 0.0 0.3 5940 1644 ? S 21:33 0:00 sshd: janez [priv] <- the pid in utmp janez 2356 0.0 0.3 5940 1720 ? 3.0.23b domain member not accessible
I portupgraded my samba domain server and domain member to 3.0.23b from 3.0.23 and found that the domain member was not accessible from workstations. The error message: \\HOSTNAME is not accessible. There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request. In the log.winbindd of the domain member, I found: [2006/08/23 22:52:00, 0] nsswitch/winbindd.c:request_len_recv(517)

Xen - multiCPUs per socket setting?
I''m still trying to figure out how to get my Xen installation on a 34-CPU machine (8 quad cores) to recognize more than one CPU per socket. It seems to default to one CPU per socket on this machine. Win2003ServerEnterprise will support 8 quad cores (32 CPUs) in a native install, but I can''t fathom why it won''t when installed under Xen (OpenSuSE11.0). Thanks for any
