HDMI pixel clock limits
Hello, Various HDMI versions enable higher and higher pixel clocks. However individual GPUs are not required to support the maximum pixel clock supported by the spec in order to be compliant. It appears that some GPUs max out at 225MHz while others at 297MHz (while others still, I assume, are limited to 165MHz, esp among the older ones). We've been unable to find this in the VBIOS (I had a thought that it was in the table pointed to by the 'T' table, but we have a counterexample to that). Could you suggest a way to f...

Shortly after Fedora Core 2 (what I call "RHCL4.0") was introduced with XFCE as a new, 3rd session/file/window standard option, which RHEL4 inherited its selection, I remember Alan Cox boasting he was running it on a WinChip2 225MHz with only 48MB of RAM. XFCE is GTK+ based, but much, much lighter than a full GNOME environment, while being 100% GNOME compatible at the same time. Running CentOS on very old hardware
A friend has an old Pentium-133 laptop with 32MB of memory and a 1.3 GB hard disk that he wants to use as a web server for a very small community. Will CentOS (or any other RHEL derived distribution for that matter) install and run with acceptable performance on such a system, or will a specialized distribution like Damn Small Linux be a better choice? In this case, disk space is not a big
