[Bug 10497] New: rsync fails to sync certain sparse file combinations with compression
...otocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(820)
[sender=3.1.1pre1]
With some older versions I can see the server fail with "inflate returned -3 (0
bytes)", so it appears that the compressed stream is getting corrupted somehow.
strace of the server with 3.1.1pre1 just shows it quitting:

I tried the cvs version: it works OK. However, 2.6.3 reproducably hangs.
In the NEWS: - Fixed a potential hang when verbosity is high, the client side

copying large files over NFS locks up machine on -testing from Thursday
...ked up my dom0 a couple of times this morning copying a 3GB
file from local disk to an NFS mount(neither xend nor guests running).
I don''t encounter this problem on the stock CentOS 4 kernel. The
machine is a PowerEdge 2850 with 2 e1000 cards - the one in use is
connected to a PowerConnect 2216 10/100 switch and has negotiated
100Mbit. I''ll check if the stock Cambridge isn''t negotiating full
duplex but that shouldn''t cause lockups.
My mount options are:
defaults,intr,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,nfsvers=3,tcp,timeo=600
This isn''t at NetApp (no 100Mbit ther...

Odd printing issue
Over the last few days, our users have started experiencing delays in
printing.
In the log files (for the client), we now see
[2011/01/05 11:12:34.360166, 1]
libsmb/cliconnect.c:2216(cli_start_connection)
cli_start_connection: failed to connect to MACHINENAME<20>
(::ffff:IPADDRESS). Error NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL
As new systems are affected, these errors appear. We get about 7 of them
(every 10 seconds) and then the print job completes.
Suggestions? Thoughts?

Any SIP hardphone recommendations?
Hello,
Can anyone recommend a hardphone that has the following qualities...
Both headset and handset ports
Headset port has amplification built in
Supports SIP using G729
We are switching from a Nortel switch to Asterisk. If anyone is familiar
with Nortel phones, the Nortel 2216 phone has the features we're looking
for in a SIP phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

E&M Wink start problem
Attempting to talk to an Eagle Telephonics switch at a disaster
exercise. Didn't think a plain old E&M wink start T1 would be this
much of an issue.
We finally got the Eagle to accept a call from *, but whilst I can
hear the person on the Eagle, they can't hear me. When they initiate
a dial out I only get the first 2 digits from their switch...
Does anyone have decent

trouble with small multiples on a date variable
Hello,
I am loading a DBF file into R via JGR and am having trouble creating small
multiple histograms on a date variable. Hist() handles the variable
correctly. But I've been unable to work with lattice or ggplot2 despite
trying format() and as.POSIXct(). Dates are in the format "2010-05-15" and
the grouping variable is categorical. I'd appreciate it if someone would
provide an

I want to make a matrix that has the cover types as columns and

cover type else zero.
