Shorewall and QoS => VoIP Help please

This server are connected in Sdsl (when i download or upload, i have 220
KB/s)
at a other Linux server .... Do you thinks that for best quality, i can
put QoS
to this server for limite the IN Trafic ?
If i want reserve 256 Kbs IN/OUT of the bp and when in download, i have
not 220KB/s but 190 KB/s, what is the config ?

Ok. I reproduced the problem using speexenc and speexdec (the Win32
binaries posted at http://www.speex.org/download.html) and have put
my sample input, the encoded .spx, and a .txt with commands used here:

You will hear some background noise from the room and me clicking the
mouse a few times. The first buzz is brought to a halt by the sound of
a soda can being opened. Then there is a second buzz later on. It
should be pretty noticible.
This is kind of a dumb example but I think it will demo...

Interesting slow Samba read and write problem - GnuCash

- The data is a compressed GnuCash XML file around 180KB
- Reading or writing this data file (from within the app) takes around
3-5 minutes. (There are some extra things that GnuCash does of course)
- If instead of a GnuCash data file I try to read or write an Excel data
(220KB) file it takes maybe 10 seconds. Large file movements (hundreds
of MB even) work fine.
- If I mount the remote server share as NFS on the local server (with
sync/intr, tcp and udp etc) and access that as as local share, the
GnuCash read time is maybe 10 seconds, but the write time is about 30
secon...

Pxelinux/memdisk with XP "MS-DOS" boot disk
I'm trying to use this universal DOS TCP/IP boot disk available here:
http://members.iinet.net.au/~bdriver/bootdisk/
It requires an MS-DOS formatted disk created by Windows XP. It works great as a floppy but doesn't boot at all with memdisk. The problem can be simplified down to just the XP boot disk. If you make an MS-DOS startup disk with XP on a floppy, dd the floppy to an image

GlusterFS OOM Issue
Hello,
I am running GlusterFS version 3.2.7-2~bpo60+1 on Debian 6.0.6. Today, I
have experienced a a glusterfs process cause the server to invoke
oom_killer.
How exactly would I go about investigating this and coming up with a fix?

Sound not working properly on Xen Dom0, but works on native
Hi,
I''m doing some testing on Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha. All sounds comes out as
static on the Dom0 system. (I can PCI passthrough the audio card to a
DomU and that works). Native sound works fine.

HVM bug: system crashes after offline online a vcpu
Hi Konrad
I encountered a bug when trying to bring offline a cpu then online it
again in HVM. As I''m not very familiar with HVM stuffs I cannot come up
with a quick fix.
The HVM DomU is configured with 4 vcpus. After booting into command
prompt, I do following operations.
# echo 0 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu3/online
# echo 1 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu3/online

linux 3.3-pre-rc1: Starting domU fails with Error: Failed to query current memory allocation of dom0.
Hi Konrad,
Today i tried linuses tree of today (last commit is 4c4d285ad5665bfbd983b95fde8d7a477d24a361).
It boots dom0 fine, but it fails to start any domU with: "Error: Failed to query current memory allocation of dom0."
With my previous 3.1.5 kernel everything is fine, nothing else changed in config in between.
