Hi,
The UPS is now connected via HID-USB, but seems to randomly disconnect.

The VID/PID combo 06da/ffff is used by some devices supported by the
'usbhid-ups' driver: did you have a chance to try it?

I dont think the logs ends to early.
The UPS had been offline for 1 day at least before i stopped the process.
Could the issue be that NUT driver does not see the USB device disconnect?

A log would help, but, in general, if the device disconnects and,
after a short time, the connection is restored, it could be a cable
problem, or the UPS not

Ouch, this is more severe than what I thought.
As a first step, you could try and increase the timeouts for pollfreq
and pollinterval.
Again, a log (compressed) of the driver

The huge log doesn't show anything troublesome or problematic.
The part of the driver output you posted on your third-to-last email
only shows that the device disconnects and then it doesn't reconnect,
or, at least, the driver doesn't see it:
- At that point, does the device reconnet to the system? (Does it show
up on dmesg? What does `lsusb -d 06da:ffff -v` return?)
- It could be

Ok, if they do, we should be able to do it too.

A reboot is not enough.
Also tried 2 different cables, the one i use now is shielded + 2 ferrite chokes to limit interference.
But i want to use NUT since i dont have enough resources to run X..

...- When i poll every 60s it works for about 3 days, anything lower or higher causes it to disconnect faster
- The big log i sent is not the output of the driver? if not how can i enable that ?
Thank you for your time..

...d the compatibility list, I was
looking at Eaton, and specifically the :
Eaton 5PX 2200IRT
However, before realising Eaton have a UPS selector to gauge
rating/size, I was using the APC UPS selector to check. With my
servers, switch and phone system, it was suggesting UPS systems like :
Smart-UPS 2200VA LCD
Smart-UPS XL 2200VA
Smart-UPS 3000VA LCD.
This includes adding the 2 extra servers I list above (Dell PE1800 and the HP).
The Eaton UPS selector is very similar but seems to be suggesting
quite different, larger, more expensive UPS systems like :
Eaton 9170plus 3kVA HW
Not only larger, but...

I guess I assumed you had a 1:1 mapping between the UPS and Raspberry Pi boards.
The hack I used with two Tripp Lite UPSes in a portable rack was that we had two different models (something like a 1500VA and a 2200VA; don't quote me on that), and we matched on the model name.

How is this for a conundrum?
I have three Tripp-Lite SMART5001U's running in the same one rack,
attached to the same host running NUT. I am running the tripplite_usb
driver thanks to some crafty hacking of Charles (thank you sir!). Now
you may ask, "hey dip****, why have THREE 1U UPS's stacked up, when
you can have a single larger one with the capacity of three?". Don't
