[LLVMdev] Weird memory bug
This was indeed a memory issue - the hard datasize limit on my freebsd box was 512 mb and this opt went over. Increasing hard limit fixed the problem. However, most unices have a 512mb limit - maybe insanely huge functions as this one should be automagically split somewhere? login reporting (utmp?) problem on Linux
I have recently compiled and installed openssh-2.1.1p1 on a linux box. The login reporting does not seem to work properly. When logging into the box via ssh (protocol 1) utmp shows the user logged in and the tty properly, but the field for the login date/time and the field for originating host contain all NULLs. Is anyone else seeing this same behavior, or have I just done something really

[LLVMdev] C front-end news
...updated, so you only have to update aliases and stuff). 4. As far as the sparc version of the GCC frontend goes, I am going to leave what is in /home/vadve/lattner/cvs/gcc_install alone for the time being. It is not correctly built, has problems, and is (among other things) huge (217M vs 21M for the x86 build). As soon as my LLVM tree is done building on solaris, I will make a new sparc version of the GCC frontend available in /home/vadve/lattner/cvs/gcc_install_sparc, with all of the nice characteristics of the x86 build. In a few weeks, or whenever I think about it, I w...

[LLVMdev] Weird memory bug
After running through bugpoint, I get this reduced function You can reproduce the problem with: opt bugpoint-reduced-function.bc -break-crit-edges -adce -verify Bugpoint is currently trying to narrow down which block breaks this, but is so far failing. It seems to be running out of memory rather than failing on a particular block. This is on freebsd 5.4, X86, llvm is compiled with gcc 3.4.2

Wine + serial port basically hangs system
I'm trying to use Wine to run a program called heavy weather - its a windows only program that interfaces with a weather station that I have through a serial port. I was able to get the program up and running with wine. Then, I couldn't get it to connect at all to the weather station. After much too long, I finally realized that the problem was that my permissions on /dev/ttyS0 were too
