FSCK of corrupted ext3 filesystem
...ng, therefore invalidating the filesystem.
The filesystem was unmounted and a remount was attempted. The mount
failed due to errors and an fsck came up with errors.
Top output looks like this:

The fsck has been running for 6 days without printing anything to the
screen. It seems to be working as an strace produces the following.

No buffer space available

I haven't had any of these since I made that change either.. So there's
some progress... :

Swap: 4096M Total, 4096M Free
At this time, there are 120 imap processes, 10 POP and 1 dovecot and 1
dovecot-auth
pop and imap both have 6 login processes.
It doesn't seem like a load issue, but obviously something is set too
low or unavailable...
It's fixed for a perio...

Approaching the limit on PV entries, consider increasing either the vm.pmap.shpgperproc or the vm.pmap.pv_entry_max sysctl.
...s about what to check/do next? I only could find a post which suggests

But I already set it and it has no effect...box has 4gb of memory:
