Remote storage
What options are available for remote storage, i.e. storage devices
directly mounted on the machine running Dovecot? I've seen discussions
of NFS usage - but my experiences with NFS in times past have been
poor. CIFS has worked well for me for non-mail use - would this be
suitable? Or is there another method I've not considered?

Approaching the limit on PV entries, consider increasing either the vm.pmap.shpgperproc or the vm.pmap.pv_entry_max sysctl.
Hello,
I have a FreeBSD 7.0-STABLE amd64 box which gives this message with apache 2.2
very often. Previously the contents of the box was on 6.3-STABLE x86 and I had
no such problems. This started right away when we moved to 7, 64bit.

Re: Rails Digest, Vol 18, Issue 525
Down here in South America, you can imagine we have to deal with this
problem of character encoding all the time.
It is not that UTF-8 is better than ISO-8859-1, or vice-versa, any more than
French is better than Spanish. UTF-8 is more like an English, which is
spoken (for better or worse) as the lengua franca most anyplace, while
ISO-8859-1 is Latin specific (can''t handle Chinese).

Problem mapping Samba shares in Windows
Hi,
In our company we are currently running a Samba server and Windows XP clients.
At the moment we are having problems with mapping Samba shares in Windows.
Shares are being mapped through a windows startup script, which executes net use (with the option persistent:no) command.
For most users this works most of the time, nevertheless it often fails, the exect reason for this isn't clear
