Asterisk and alternate RTP ports
Been working with Asterisk for a long time but this is the first time I have dealt with this issue.
I am setting up an Asterisk box (FreePBX not my choice) to interface with an e911 provider.
They say their switches only listen for RTP on ports 20000-21001 which is outside the normal range Asterisk listens on 10000-20000.
I wish I knew more about this topic but since I have never had an issue interfacing with providers, ITSP etc., I just haven't had a need to know.
I get audio on some calls and others not so much.
How do I deal with this?

...y for everyone (anonymous access)
- read-write for 'user1'
As far as I know, I should setup 2 distinct modules
with different permissions, but sharing the same physical directory.
Is there any better way to do this ? found a thread here:
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.network.rsync.general/21001
But seems like this patch on "auth users" direction never entered the
official distribution.
thanks for any suggestions
Tom

Printing: Access denied, unable to connect
I have been having a printing problem recently on a setup that has worked
for quite some time. Configs below. The symtoms are slightly different
on a W2K and a WinME workstation, but the result is the same; no printed
output. However, when I print from the local Unix server or from any
other Unix server in the network the output is as expected.
The W2K machine reports 'Access denied,

Inventory Project
I am trying to write a inventory web application with RoR so that I can
keep track of hardware and software purchased by the company. I would
also like to be able to associate products we buy with users and
departments. I would like it if you could enter in products (since we
purchase many of the same) into a product list.
Then you could add a user or department and check off which products he

puppet: 3.1.1 -> 3.2.1 load increase
Hi,
I recently updated from puppet 3.1.1 to 3.2.1 and noticed quite a bit of
increased load on the puppetmaster machine. I''m using
the Apache/passenger/rack way of puppetmastering.
Main symptom is: higher load on puppetmaster machine (8 cores):
- 3.1.1: around 4
- 3.2.1: around 9-10
Any idea why there''s more load on the machine with 3.2.1?
