Manually delete .glusterfs/changelogs directory ?
...in the brick directory using rm -rf.
However, the gluster documentation specifies that if the session is to be
permanently deleted, this is the command to use:
gluster volume geo-replication gv1 snode1::gv2 delete reset-sync-time

...passive slave should become active and should
continue to replicate from master.
Am I wrong? Is there just one active slave if it is setup as
a distributed system?
What I use:
Centos 7, gluster 3.12
I have followed the geo instructions:
http://docs.gluster.org/en/latest/Administrator%20Guide/Geo%20Replication/
Many thanks in advance!
Bets regards

It's not for slave node.

Geo replication snapshot error
...riting a snapshot program for my geo-replicated cluster.
Now when I started to run tests with my application I have found
a very strange behavior regarding geo-replication in gluster.
I have setup my geo-replication according to the docs:
http://docs.gluster.org/en/latest/Administrator%20Guide/Geo%20Replication/
Both master and slave clusters are replicated with just two
machines (VM) and no arbiter.
I have setup a geo-user (called geouser) and do not use
root as the geo user, as specified in the docs.
Both my master and slave volumes are named: vol
If I pause the geo-replication with:

How to delete geo-replication session?
...em force
gluster volume geo-replication <mastervol> <slavehost>::<slavevol>

With these steps you will be able to stop/delete the Geo-rep session. I
will add these steps in the documentation
page(http://gluster.readthedocs.io/en/latest/Administrator%20Guide/Geo%20Replication/).

Manually delete .glusterfs/changelogs directory ?
Hello,
I just deleted (permanently) my geo-replication session using the following command:
gluster volume geo-replication myvolume gfs1geo.domain.tld::myvolume-geo delete
and noticed that the .glusterfs/changelogs on my volume still exists. Is it safe to delete the whole directly myself with "rm -rf .glusterfs/changelogs" ? As far as I understand the CHANGELOG.* files are only needed

How to delete geo-replication session?
When I run the "gluster volume geo-replication status" I see my geo replication session correctly including the volume name under the "VOL" column. I see my two nodes (node1 and node2) but not arbiternode as I have added it later after setting up geo-replication. For more details have a quick look at my previous post here:

How to delete geo-replication session?
Do you see any session listed when Geo-replication status command is
run(without any volume name)
gluster volume geo-replication status
Volume stop force should work even if Geo-replication session exists.
From the error it looks like node "arbiternode.domain.tld" in Master
cluster is down or not reachable.
