CpberPower PR3000LCDRTXL2UN support
I'm looking at switching from an APC UPS to a different brand after having had my third SU3000RM in a row blow up power transistors. I'm looking at the Cyperpower PR3000LCDRTXL2U. I see the PR3000E and the PR6000LCDRTXL5U listed as supported, but not the PR3000LCDRTXL2U. Howeverit seems likely that if the PR6000LCDRTXL5U is supported, the PR3000LCDRTXL2U ought to work as well. I've

...ykh/nut/tree/bestups I noticed that your UPS seems to support the 'M' command as a query of some sort (it replies '0'): now I'm curious as to what it does mean. It could be the 0-9 index of the user-settable voltage limits, page 19 of: http://www.gruberpower.com/pdf-files/Best%20Power%20Patriot%20Pro%20II%20User%20Manual.pdf Could you try and change it and see what happens to the 'M' reply? Or maybe it's a status of some sort: the driver now keeps querying the UPS with 'M', so if you could try and put it in some different conditions we can see whether the re...

Analysis of pre-calculated frequency distribution?
...log linear" distribution, because that makes no assumptions about the underlying cause of the overall shape. People tipically quote the curve in the form of y ~ Cx^(-a). I want to use the binning method of parameter estimation given here... http://www.ece.uc.edu/~annexste/Courses/cs690/Zipf,%20Power-law,%20Pareto%20-%20a%20ranking%20tutorial.htm (bin the data with exponentially increasing bin widths within the data range). But I can't work out how to re-bin my existing frequency data. Sorry for the long question, all the best Dan.

Printing problem with Samba, XP, and Xerox Printer
Hello everyone, I am having a problem getting Windows XP clients to print to a Xerox DataCenter 440 using Samba as the print server running on Red Hat Linux 7.2. I have installed the driver once and it worked fine. I then tried to add a second XP client, and while it appears to install and work, nothing comes out of the printer. It even seems to disappear at the print server. Any ideas how I

cups printing
I have searched around the samba documentation, including the smb.conf man page, and have found nothing regarding the cups printing system except change printcap to cups. Now, I have done that, but printing still does not work. I need some types of details and a sample smb.conf and/or any other relevant documentation. Thanks much, George D. Plymale
