IVR Menu
Hi, I made a simple menu using the Background application and some wav files. I converted the wav files using for a in *.wav; do sox "$a" -r 8000 -c1 "`echo $a|sed -e s/wav//`gsm"; done (from http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/index.php?page=Convert%20WAV%20audio%20files%20for%20use%20in%20Asterisk) The first two files "01/bemvindo" and "01/menu_top" are good. But the third file (01/menu_top), fails in the end of the sentence, and this message "Auto fallthrough, channel 'SIP/dov.bigio-ae4a' status is 'UNKNOWN'" appears in th...

Handling timeouts?
Hi Guys, Thanks for Unicorn, it makes my world rock. You guy have done a wonderful job and also huge thanks to the predecessors too. The default timeout on my Rails app is 30 seconds. The app works fine most of the time but there are some parts of the app which are slow and occasionally totter over the 30 sec response time and timeout. Is there a clean way for me to hook into timeouts and notify

Centos|Windows Cross Platform File Managers
Greetings all! Can anyone recommend a Midnight Commander like file manager that will run on Windows Vista please? I have downloaded and installed 2 MC's for Vista, but the actual MC user window running under Vista is very small compared to my screens real estate, and I cannot seem to make it fill half the screen. I have found Double Commander for Windows:

ELF EM value for 65816
Hello, I’m working on porting llvm to build for 65816, and I wanted to use a value of e_machine for this. I was wondering if there is a process for getting a value reserved. I’ve seen some information but its from many years ago, and seems to be well out of date? Just wanted to ask people who would likely know. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

lm function - strange error
I am following a document teaching how to use regression and right at the onset I get an R error. I understand that variables "conc" and "signal" should have the same length but I am using the what R manual suggests to drop the error and it is not cooperating. What gives? The manual says that the default is na.ombit by the way, not that it's addition does anything How

When I requested a program for Debian, they gave me "clientmate for linux" (http://www.icamview.com/pub/pub/netagent%20utility/clientmate%20for%20linux%20v3.3.zip), which is an old tarball installation that didn't work even after being adjusted manually. In the end I've decided to try to download the drivers from another Israeli company, Advice, from the reasonable assumption that they probably use the same far-eastern manufac...

How to (simply) add table-values to a mosaicplot ?
...table (which is produced by the "mosaicplot" command on the table object). The only reference I was successful in finding on the web was in a script here: http://tables2graphs.com/doku.php?id=03_descriptive_statistics#figure_2 http://svn.tables2graphs.com/tables2graphs/Rcode/Final%20Code%20for%20Website/figure_2_iversen_table_1.R by using the "text" command, with manual tweaking of the text coordinates. Two questions arise: 1) Is there a way to know in advance where these coordinates will be in the plot, so I could add them by a more simple (or at least smart) command ? 2) how...

stochastic models for population growth
Hello, Having measured two populations' characteristics at one particular time[with great precision] with R, I would like to extend this to measuring the same populations starting at t1, and then again at t2, and try to develop a growth model (something like dpop1/dt=r*pop^(...),dpop2/dt=r*pop^(...)). I think the idea is to create a model that will predict the growth of a population(N(mu,
