puppetrun
Hi
When using puppetrun to trigger machines to get and apply their
configuration, it will only trigger the machine when executing puppetrun for
the second time:
puppetmaster # puppetrun --host puppetclient
puppetclient log:
-- snip
Apr 13 08:19:49 puppetd[20208]: puppetmaster(172.16.34.12) triggered run
Apr 13 08:20:08 puppetd[20208]: puppetmaster(172.16.34.12) triggered run
Apr 13 08:20:08 puppetd[20208]: Starting configuration run
...
-- snip
Are there any tests done on the state of the puppetclient when receiving the
trigger?

[PATCH] valgrind: Support for ioctls used by Xen toolstack processes.
...s side the vast majority of hypercalls are not of interest
to the toolstack (they are used by guests) so we can get away without
implementing them.
There are some other wrinkles here I''ve not been sure how to solve:
Firstly, di_notify_mmap tries to read from the magic proc device:
--20208-- WARNING: Serious error when reading debug info
--20208-- When reading debug info from /proc/xen/privcmd:
--20208-- can''t read file to inspect ELF header
I''ve hacked around this with an explicit check for /proc/xen.
Hopefully someone can point to the right solution.

dns replication error due to deleted records
Today I noticed something that has been going on for some weeks:
I have 2 dc, (dc1 and dc2) both debian buster with the distro provided
samba (4.9.5), recently upgraded from stretch.
samba-tool drs showrepl on dc2 says
DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=samba,DC=wetron,DC=es
Default-First-Site-Name\DC1 via RPC
DSA object GUID: 89812346-9037-43b0-86ab-c5052f55125d

dns replication error due to deleted records
...RR_BAD_NET_RESP)
283 consecutive failure(s).
Last success @ Fri Oct 11 08:35:30 2019 CEST
samba-tool dbcheck --cross-ncs gives no error on both DCs (though dc1 is
reporting 20276 objects and dc2 20180, after cleaning the bad entries
the count is 20272 on dc1 and 20208 on dc2)
The strange thing is that this is happening now with both DCs running
buster with the same samba version and never happened when dc1 was
running jessie and dc2 stretch.

:class in link_to_remote?
Is there a way to set the class of a link in link_to_remote? I tried
adding :class => "this_damn_class" after the :url hash and it didn''t
work.
I went ahead and did it manually using remote_function, i.e.
<a class="this_damn_class" href="#" onclick="<%= remote_function ...,
:url => {...} %>">My Link</a>

Try running this on a DC:
samba-tool ldapcmp ldap://DC1 ldap://DC2

3.6.10 file handle leak under ancient 32-bit kernel
Hello,
I've come across a curious issue with
Samba 3.6.10.
When running 'emacs' version
GNU Emacs 23.3.1 (i386-mingw-nt6.0.6002) of 2011-03-10 on 3249CTO
on Windows Server 2008 SP2 x64 and issuing
a file "revert" of one sort or another
against a Samba-served file, the 'smbd'
process leaks two or three handles.
Eventually, when 16k handles are open,
this causes
