CentOS 6
I finally switched workstations, and am running into a lot of truly annoying details with CentOS 6, and the software with it. For one, I'm doing this by webmail, and this version of Firefox *insists* on putting what I'm typing in gray, rather than black. For another, I despise the new version of thunderbird, since it now shows the full subject, if I have what they used to call the preview

[1.4] Minimal installation?
Hello, I'd like to run Asterisk on an embedded device, where space is scarce. It should be able to handle calls from a VoIP provider in SIP, calls from the PSTN through Dahdi, and voicemail. If someone's already done this, I'd like to know which directories/files are required for a basic install? Does this look right? ================= /bin/asterisk /etc/asterisk/ asterisk.conf

Hi! I've recently read the flac sources, and it appears to me that you're quatizing the LPC coefficients directly. However, this might be not as efficient, because LPC coefficients are very sensitive to quantiz...

NM on a server?
Is there any point in running NetworkManager on a server? The IP addresses of the two server NICS are fixed (192.168.1.2 and 192.168.2.2 .) I'm not clear if it is necessary in some way to run NM on a CentOS system? -- Timothy Murphy e-mail: gayleard /at/ eircom.net tel: +353-86-2336090, +353-1-2842366 s-mail: School of Mathematics, Trinity College, Dublin 2, Ireland

Question on how to get involved in 1.1 development
A while back I expressed interest in trying to add additional compression formats (XZ, ZPAQ-derived). What would be the best way for me to try these with the 1.1 codebase? [LLVMdev] Custom lowering of load with extension
Hi, The target I am working on does not support i8 loading: it supports only 32 bit aligned loads. I had to custom lower i8 load so that only i32 loads are generated. My issue is the following: In a very specific case, the lowering stage generates the following pattern where the load is a i32 load: (and (load x), 255) This pattern is somehow converted by the DAG combiner back to: (zextload x,
