Timeout leak with dovecot version dovecot1.2(8985:f43bebab3dac)
This is 64bit AIX 5.3. Looking through previous versions of dovecot, I see this warning. I didn't realize this was something bad until today. My environment uses mbox/mbox-snarf plugin. The message in the logs is: local0.log.20090429:Apr 29 12:41:16 hostname dovecot: IMAP(jsiegle): Timeout leak: 1100054c0 In dbx(the AIX debugger) I see: $ dbx imap Type 'help' for help. reading

login_max_processes_count and logs
Hello, Our server reach today the login_max_processes_count. Dovecot works well and don't accept any new connection. But it doesn't log anything about this problem : we are blind why the connection is refused for the clients. Could you add a log when the connection limit is reached or (maybe better) a log with the occupation for the beginning of each connection ? Thanks Dom Dovecot

deliver_log_format not working with 1.2.rc3?
Hi list, just a small issue with deliver_log_format. Although, the parameter is altered in the config and is correctly shown with "dovecot -n", deliver uses only its default log_format. > root at terra:~# dovecot -n | grep -e deliver -e "^#" > # 1.2.rc3: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf > # OS: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 i686 Debian 5.0.1 > deliver_log_format: %m:%$:%f:%s

Including external files
I quite often find myself making documents that pull together other fragmentary documents. Does anyone have suggestions for an include or embed syntax? I.e. a way of saying "pull in the contents of document X here". Has this been implemented before? Such a syntax might be: (embed: snippet.txt) or [include](snippet.txt) Your thoughts? Best regards, - Daniel

Samba + LDAP + IIS = massive memory usage
Dear readers, I'm not sure if this is a bug or a problem we are causing which is why I'm posting to the list first in the hope that someone else might have come across it. We have been using Samba quite successfully for a number of years. However, with this new setup we have a problem. We're using Samba as a backend for a web farm - 6 or 7 Windows servers running IIS with all the

Disabling users whilst still allowing logins with a 'master password'
Hi, I'm having trouble coming up with an authentication configuration that does what we want with dovecot, and thought it would be worth passing it by the list in case anyone can spot an easy fix, or confirm my suspicions that code changes are required. You should probably be aware that this is to support a migration away from Dovecot to a certain Microsoft-provided mail platform, so if this
