[LLVMdev] improving the ocaml binding's type safety
So just to compare, here are two different typesafe phantom type
implementations. One is bottom down, the other bottom up. This is an
example of the following functions:
string Value::getName()
bool Constant::isNull()
bool GlobalValue::isDeclaration()
bool GlobalVariable::isGlobalConstant()
bool Function::isVarArg()
Driver code:
val make_constant : unit -> llconstant t

Follow-up on Fast clock under VMWare
Hi everyone:
Just a follow up on the fast clock issue:
"Can you double-check that 'cat
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpuinfo_max_freq' outputs the
same number as your 'cpuKHZ' setting in your config.ini file?"
There is no cpufreq directory under /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0; all
I see is "cache" (dir), "crash_notes" (a file) and

PPC
Hi All,
The only Centos PPC distro that I could find is at:
http://vault.centos.org/4.0beta/isos/ppc
Is there an official (non-beta) release of Centos 4 (or better yet
Centos 5)? If not, are there plans for such a release?
Best
Mike

Move hard disk to a new machine
I work for a government organization here in India.
I am sort of new to CentOS & Linux.
We have a 1TB disk in one of our machines that needs to be moved to a new
server.
How can I do that without losing any of the data?
The whole drive is mounted onto a single file system (/software). I would
like to move the drive onto our new server.
Thanks in advance.

[LLVMdev] improving the ocaml binding's type safety
I was talking to Gordon on #llvm earlier, and he challenged me with
coming up with a way to improve the ocaml binding's type safety. We
can't go letting haskell beat us now, can we? I think I got an easy
solution with phantom types.
For those who don't know what the problem is, the ocaml bindings share
one type between whole class branches (like values). This means we
need to downcast
