Uniden UIP200 phones
I am trying to get distinctive ringing going again with these phones,
depending on the outside line the call comes in on.
I had a working 1.0.x Asterisk setup using:
SetVar(ALERT_INFO=<http://127.0.0.1/Bellcore-dr2>)
Which used the short quick rings.
In Asterisk 1.4, I have tried several things, but I think the correct
syntax is:
Set(_ALERT_INFO=<http://127.0.0.1/Bellcore-dr2>)
But

Moving windows above GNOME top panel in Gutsy
When I enable compiz in Ubuntu Gutsy I can't move window titles
*above* the top panel. With compiz disabled I can grab a window in
the middle (Alt+left mouse) and move its title bar above the screen
showing just the bottom part of the window.
I assume this is a Compiz issue, since it only happens when enabled.
I've been looking for a config option that controls that -- is there a

Boot Log Problems
Hi,
I have just updated from CentOS 4 to 5 and I am seeing a problem with
udev during booting, but I am unable to track it down as it looks like
the boot.log is not working. The file is there but empty and the
previous log only lists events up to the point at which I upgraded.
syslog.conf looks ok to me in so much as there is an entry pointing
to /var/log/boot.log.
Any suggestions as to what I

Oops with Nouveau on amd64 with nv15 card and kernel 2.6.22 (debian sid)
Hello,
I've build drm and nouveau from git and got this error while starting
Xorg.
Another thing is that before the install instructions on the wiki worked
I had to install xorg-dev. This was the error I got before installing
xorg-dev:
./configure: line 20257: syntax error near unexpected token `RANDR,'
./configure: line 20257: `XORG_DRIVER_CHECK_EXT(RANDR, randrproto)'

Getting SIP Response Code from HANGUPCAUSE
I'd like to grab the SIP response code that comes back from an INVITE. The HANGUPCAUSE gives the converted ISDN cause code. Anyone know of a way to get the SIP response code instead?

do 1.1b4 assertion failed: (mailbox_list_is_valid_existing_name
I think this is where I left off last weekend. Instead of this happening at the base
of one of my shared mail namespaces, it happens when I try to select a top level folder
inside the namespace, or try to directly select an entire path to a folder. This only
happens when ACL is enabled. Let me know if I need to provide more. Thanks.

load balancers and mongrel
We have a load balancer sending requests to one of X boxes and one of
N mongrel processes on that box.
Since each mongrel processes is multi-threaded but it has a mutex
around the section that calls rails, we end up with several requests
queued up waiting when they could have gone to another box with a
free process.
For example, boxA, and boxB.
boxA has mongrels 1 through 10
boxB has
