dovecot INSTALL
Hello,
I just tried dovecot-stable-20051206.tar.gz.
It takes me one additional day to get it work.
>From INSTALL file, it failed to miss the following installation steps:
1) needs to create the file /etc/pam.d/dovecot

Dovecot and loadbalancer
Hi all,
I've 4 servers with dovecot and ldap authentication behind a
loadbalancer (Alteon).
To connect to dovecot, client need to use a vip of the loadbalancer.
To connect to the ldap server, dovecot need to use the loadbalancer
cause there are several ldap server.

Unknown message data
Running 1.0-alpha4 on Sarge, when I move a message with a blank subject
from one mailbox into another, and then open that destination mailbox in
Pine, Pine gives me the error "Unknown message data: 1001 FETCH", where
1001 is the UID of the message.

New Install Assistance
Hello,
I built a Fedora 4 sendmail server to replace our old one. I wanted to try
the stock Dovecot popper (we currently use pop3d). I tried implementing
Dovecot this morning and failed.
All I want to use is the POP portion (no IMAP). From what I could find on
the Internet, all I had to do is change dovecot.conf protocols line to read
like this: protocols = pop3
Apparently, that wasn't

checkpassword authentication
Hi,
does anyone already use the checkpassword authentication scheme?
I have not found any description how I have to configure dovecot in order to
work together with qmail?s checkpassword.
Enabling ?passdb = checkpassword /bin/checkpassword? in dovecot.conf starts
/bin/checkpassword for every authentication request, but the result does not
seem to matter for the authentication.

SIP CANREINVITE
I have a number of internal SIP phones and a number of external SIP clients with the server running Asterisk on the boundary between the two. ie the server has two network cards with an internal private address and an external public address.
