mailsync: NO Unexpected EOF
Hello, I am trying to migrate off a MS Exchange 5.0 server. I am using mailsync (http://www.linux-france.org/prj/imapsync/) to copy the files to a Dovecot server, version 0.99.10.7. For particular messages I get the following error: Couldn't append msg #114081 (Subject:[RE: balh blah]) to folder INBOX: Error trying to append: 826 NO Unexpected EOF I think this is Dovecot, complaining

One final issue
Timo- Thanks for all the help. After I changed the permissions to the virtual user I setup I had a few small issues but was able to work through them. Now IMAP is running great. But my new question is, do I need to do anything to get it to work with POP? My server refuses to respond on 110 and I'm wondering if there is something I need to do? I was under the impression that Dovecot can

NTLMv2 Authentication fails on domain member servers
Hello, I'm having some issues with getting NTLMv2 authentication working, and I thought you might be able to help. I've got a Windows XP Pro client machine trying to access shares on a domain member server running Samba. (Both the domain member server and the PDC are running Samba 3.0.4.) The XP machine is by default configured to use NTLMv2 for authentication, but that fails when

CRAM-MD5
Hi, after getting dovecot working with PostgreSQL and plaintext passwords I tried to use md5 encrypted passwords with mozilla. www.roughtrade.net/dovecot says that Mozilla only supports CRAM-MD5 and that CRAM-MD5 is included in HEAD. Now I have two questions: 1) Is the md5 hash stored in passdb with cram-md5 the same as in digest-md5? 2) Is a new dovecot stable build planned within the next two

0.99.10.x auth memory leak?
Hello, running 0.99.10.6 (but seen it before that, too). Also (quite obviously) running 5 auth processes, given the fact that this is a pretty busy box and I didn't want to introduce any artificial bottlenecks. Alas with them eating up half of the free memory (which would go to a much better use as FS cache) I'm getting sorta concerned. If it's not a leak, it's caching something

Nortel SL1 protocol and *?
I have been investigating more tight integration between * and the Nortel MICS... it appears that it is at least theoretically possible to have * store voicemail and log which stations call where. Both require a T1 card. The T1 card requires either a clocking module or the 6-port fiber module to provide T1 timing. Naturally a T100P or TE405P is required on the * side. To log which

[fdo] Scheduling subsystems (crontab, at) and the desktop
Hi there fellow hackers, geeks and others who want the UNIX desktop to succeed. I bring forward the question whether or not a (freedesktop.org) specification is necessary for application scheduling software. The current UNIX Desktop user does not have an easy way to configure the tasks which he wants to schedule. Sure we have such a utility. And sure we can shout to our Desktop users
