[LLVMdev] TargetFrameInfo: what's local area offset
The TargetFrameInfo, amoung other things, specifies "local area offset" -- which, as comment say, is: the offset of the local area from the stack pointer on entrance to a function. The question is -- what's local area? Is this the first stack location which can be used by function for allocating its own variables? - Volodya

klibc-0.130: s390, run-init
OK, I have just pushed out klibc-0.130; it significantly updates the run-init program (again... PLEASE TEST IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT) based on, but not identical to, Alexander's suggestions; it also adds s390/x patches from Arnd Bergmann. -hpa

Asterisk on 64 bit... and testing e164.org
Dear Duane: Thanks for the steer (presently I route calls to 1800 via iaxtel, but I'll turn that off for that test) I came up with a thought for an interesting e164 service last night - distributed custom ringtones, and custom announcements on a callerid lookup via enum. You'd be able to embed a RINGTONE - an url pointing to either a ringtone definition or a wav file that contains

Compiling Asterisk with G.723.1
Hello, I am relatively new to Asterisk and I need to compile the G.723.1 codec for Asterisk. I downloaded the ITU source code, placed it in the codecs directory, but apparently Asterisk needs a rather different library than the one provided from ITU. As I've seen in the mailing list archives, there are quite a few users who were able to compile G.723.1 in *, so, could someone kindly share it

XP Joining domain
I'm attempting to join a Samba 3.0.4 domain on a Debian linux box, with a Windows XP client. Problems 1) Can only get the join to work if I use the root account. On Win2k I can use any account in the Domain Admins group. 2) The join succeeds, the unix account and the smb account are created but the smb account is disabled, and the password contains all XXXXs. Joining the domain works
