Icecast2 Beta 1 hijacks CPU
...nitor icecast (respawn when it dies or kill/respawn
when it starts to eat CPU).
I use Winamp icw Oddcast (www.oddsock.org) as source.
I've compiled icecast using the libs provided in the snapshot archive. I'm
not sure if those are up to date or not....(should I use CVS?) :
- libogg-1.1-20031120.tar.gz
- libvorbis-1.0.1-20031120.tar.gz
These have been compiled using:
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-slackware-linux/3.2.2/specs
Configured with: ../gcc-3.2.2/configure --prefix=/usr --enable-shared

...is to
fill in code generation for about 60 built-in words.
I'm shocked. 8 Hours work? Is compiler writing supposed to be this easy?
Kudos. LLVM Rocks.

IMAP subscribe/unsubscribe broken in 0.99.10.2
IMAP subscribe/unsubscribe is broken in 0.99.10.2 (and earlier
releases), specifically subsfile_set_subscribed(), where the logic is
all wrong. I tried just copying over the latest subscription-file.c but
it has dependencies on some file locking/dotlocking stuff that 0.99.10.2
doesn't have.
Timo, would it be possible to incorporate the latest subscription-file.c
into 0.99.10.3 (whenever

[Flac-users] FLAC in the news
FYI,
Unless you've been checking the FLAC site you might have
missed some encouraging things that have happened in the
last few months. I haven't really been announcing things
in the lists along the way, but to summarize:
- Primus and Phish have been selling soundboard recordings
of shows in FLAC
- Magnatune (an indie label) offers their whole catalog in
FLAC and Vorbis now

SIP URIs and ENUM or other types of lookup
This has been giving me a headache for a little while, so
I thought I would throw the question out to the list.
Imagine there is a database lookup function that takes place
that, given a number, returns call routing information. It
might be a postgresql lookup, it might be an enum lookup.
If I have something like:
exten => _.,1,LookUp(${EXTEN})
exten => _.,2,Dial(${RESULT})
Then the

Having Samba integrate/replace existing mixed Unix/Windows network
I've recently inherited a two-headed monster of a network and would like to
see what Samba can do for me to help clean up the situation. Due to
bias/preference of the past administrator, who favored Unix, when it came
time to introduce Windows machines to our department, he basically built a
parallel network (physically and logically), and let a graduate student
manage the Windows
