[BUG] ddraw sur wine-20010510
I confirm the ddraw problem in wine-20010510. I "downdated" yesterday: $ patch -p0 -R < wine-20010510.diff $ mv wine-20010510 wine-20010418 And reinstalled everything of course. Now Wine works fine. (So now it works again, I'll be able to follow g.patel's proposition for my other problem: *.ST file access within STew) Y...

Starcraft & Keyboard Problems
..." "DXGrab" = "Y" "UseDGA" = "Y" "UseXShm" = "Y" I have tried running it with DXGrab both on and off, and neither worked. Please help me. P.S.: Some history: The last time I had SC working perfectly was under RedHat 7.1 using wine-20010510. At the time, I tried updating to the latest Wine release, wine-20010629 (I believe) and noticed the above mentioned bug, so I decided not to upgrade any further. So, SC continued working perfectly, until I switched to RedHat 7.2 (I chose "Upgrade" in the installer). Then, wine-200...

problem with afm on x86 Solaris 8
Hello, I want to use wine on x86 Solaris 8 to run free agent. I downloaded wine-20010510 and installed gcc 2.95.3 to compile wine, xpm, binutils, bison, flex and updated xvidmode.c. Now I got this error: make[2]: Leaving directory `/d1/wine-20010510/dlls/winedos' make[2]: Entering directory `/d1/wine-20010510/dlls/winmm/wineoss' make[2]: Nothing to be done for `all'. make[2...

wine : command not found
I downloaded this file http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/ALPHA/wine/development/Wine-20010510.tar.gz (it's the source code). Then I unpacked it as root and then I went into the "/root/wine-20010510"-directory. Then I typed ./tools/wineinstall (or something like that). And then it startet installing. When it was finished i edited my ~/.wine/config so that it would not autom...

Errors when installing StarOffice on build 20010510
Morten W. Petersen wrote: > Well, a friend of mine had problems installing Word 8, so I figured I'd > install some similar bloatware to see if we could produce the same bug. This makes no sense. Installing bloatware from Sun is not going to help you debug install problems with bloatware from Microsoft. It would make more sense to compare with MS Access or Excel of the same

wine-20010510 fails to run?
The system I am using is a clean install of Mandrake 8.0 which has the gcc version 2.96 installed. I downloaded the wine-20010510 snapshot and successfully ran the ./tools/wininstall. The build seems to have run without problems and if I type: wine --version the correct release number is displayed indicating the install was also succesful. As per the FAQ I also did the following: [jussij]$ export LC_ALL=en and the...

App doesn't react
Hi all, I've downloaded the sources of Wine-20010510 and installed them successfully (I think). But when running a Windows-app, the window is in screen, but doesn't react to my input, like mouse-clicking or typing on the keyboard. Is this a known prob? Thanks in advance, Bram Schoenmakers :-( ;-) :-)

Newsgroup or WineHQ?
I am new to Wine although I'm not new to Linux. I have posted a couple of bug reports at WineHQ. Then I noticed bug reports showing up here. Am I contacting the wrong place? I also submitted a patch for one of those bugs. Now I'm wondering if there is anybody at WineHQ to see that patch. Should I post my patch here? Also, I can open an ftp to winehq but then I can't cd to pub, or ls

printing font scale issues
I'm using Wine-20010510 to run Quickbooks. Printing seems to work okay, as long as I use the "default" forms. When I try to modify the defaults, by changing the fonts on parts of forms, the printed result is that the font is tiny. For example, 18-pt Helvetica looks printed out like 4-point Helvetica (or ma...

winelib
Hello, My version of wine is wine-20010510-1. Do I need to make any changes to the wine headers? I get errors from winsock.h and winsock2.h often. Then I try fixing it in the file, since it seems easy but then it causes problems elsewhere. E.g., /usr/include/wine/winsock2.h:92: field 'Address' has incomplete type I noticed winso...

Troubles with XFree86-4.10 and sound
Hi, I recently posted a success story (Steel Panthers). Well, now it's not working :( I updated the WINE version to 20010630 (from 20010510) and the XFree86 version 4.10 (from 4.03). Well, now it says that I have no sound (one application says that maybe will not work because there's no soundcard). And the game does not woork anymore (it uses DirectSraw, AFAIK, to paint a 800x600 area in the screen, and it gets black, never g...

You killed Half-Life!
...to 20010824 things just got bad, I get a crash after trying to join a second game (play one, exit, join another). It's an actual bug in the code too, I believe it was a buffer error but I was hoping someone else would have reported it (it's an addiction after all and I've downgraded to 20010510 now). I was going to do a trace but have you seed what +relay does to a FPS? I'll upgrade again if anyone thinks they can help, but I was hoping this would turn out to be a known issue. Daniel Sabo P.S. I'm building from source with gcc 2.95.3

intermittent segfault upon invocation
Wine release 20010510 on Linux 2.4.4 SMP compiled from source code. One in ten times, when I start wine (with an executable or without) the program will segfault. Notes: 1. This doesn't happen when I run wine under the debugger. 2. I turned on --debugmsg +all to see if I could pinpoint the reason. When it deos...

My First Wine
...s a run from CD railroad atlas (no installer needed). My conf files (~/.wine/config and /usr/local/etc/wine/conf) both match and have the floppy and cdrom pointing to their corresponding /dev entries. As far as I can tell from the documentation, I have the conf file setup right. I installed build 20010510 from source using ./tools/wineinstall. Thanks in advance, J Paul Richardson
