GXP-2000 Volume Issue
Is anyone else having an issue with GXP-2000s and transmit gain? All my other phones are fine on my TDM400P with txgain set at 0, but the GXP-2000 caps at about a third of the scale in ztmonitor. I'm getting people complaining they can't hear me on my GXP-2000s, whereas my Snom 320 and Polycom 301 are great, and my Budgetones are ove...

GXP-2000 and Shared Line Appearances
I have a client with 20 GXP-2000s. Everything seems to be working fine. However, after a couple of weeks of use, the client is having a hard time adjusting to the new IP based phone systems and only misses one feature from their old Lucent system. That is, they had 8 analog lines before and all their old Lucent phones show...

Headsets
Hey Everyone, We are in the process of reviewing headsets for use with our GXP-2000s. I'm looking for some feedback as to which headsets people are using, the pros and cons of those headsets, and if they would recommend them to someone else. Any help would be appreciated... - Jason -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://lists...

DTMF issues
I am now at a total loss. Using Sipura spa-2000s connected to *, I get DTMF working just fine for internal extensions, voicemail, etc. If making an outgoing call like this spa --> * --> Cisco AS5350 --> PSTN, I get no dial tone. I am working unsuccessfully with Cisco right now on this, but they cant find anything wrong. I have tried all...

wildcard matching in dialplan
...et-cfim,${CALLERIDNUM},${EXTEN:4}) I was hoping that this would match any string of the form *21*nnn*, where nnn is 3 or more digits. But Asterisk seems to ignore the final X*, and allows it to match strings of any length that start *21*nn. This is a problem because many of my users are using GXP-2000s with Early Dial enabled: I need Asterisk to go on rejecting the number with "484 address incomplete" until it sees the final * digit. Can anybody give me a clue how to accomplish this? thanks p.

3way calling / codec problem
I'm having problems with conference calls (3-way) when I have my codec forced to g729 in sip.conf. I'm using Grandstream 2000s. If enable both g711 and g729 then 3 way calling and transfers work. I'm not sure why this would matter? Here's the error: Oct 13 13:54:45 NOTICE[31184] chan_sip.c: No compatible codecs! Any help is greatly appreciated!

Grandstream GXP-2000 Poor sound Quality
I have upgraded the GXP-2000 to the newest firmware 1.0.1.12<http://1.0.1.12>and the phone is much more usable However, I still have two slight sound quality issues: 1) There is static on the line at all times. It is not that noticable to me, but when I make calls out the PSTN the person on the other end hears it. If I use a Cisco ATA with an analog phone and call the same person again

Problem Upgrading to R 3.5 on Ubuntu 18.04
Somehow during the process of updating both Ubuntu and R to the latest versions I ended up with a version of R 3.5 installed into the sudo user's home directory with default libraries set to the sudo user home directory as well (/home/uname/R/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-library/3.5 rather than usr/local/lib/R/site-library). I've tried to remove using sudo apt purge r-base r-base-dev and get a

Asterisk for home office
I apoligize in advance for this newbie question on what I perceive as a mostly advanced level list... I did some searching, but would like some of your expert opinions. I'm building an asterisk server to be used in the home, both to learn, and as proof of concept of applying this solution in a home. To keep costs down, I'm considering one X100P ($25 ebay clone) card to connect the

...t work properly on the R120b2. You'll need to file a bug report with Red Hat, as CentOS is just going to repackage the source Red Hat ships. There have been 'zero port' RAID cards in the past where the RAID controller uses motherboard ports with hardware RAID; I have an Adaptec ASR-2000S here that is for a particular SuperMicro motherboard that uses the Adaptec SCSI controllers on the motherboard for the disk ports (dedicated PCI-X slot for it; performance was quite good and comparable to the RAID controllers with ports on the controller). I don't know if this would be the...

Outdated by modern infrastructure concepts you see implemented in Kubernetes, OpenShift or cloud solutions in general. It's commonly summarized in the phrase "pets versus cattle". You don't want clusters to be treated as pets. Has always been difficult to maintain. Obviously...

...read the message correctly) is an explicit setting for (e.g.) .libPaths() which I like, but which I can't "enforce" in the package -- I once tried about 1 1/2 years ago and all broke loose because those who had ~/R/... path no longer saw it. So now again, and as it had been since the 2000s, this is governed by a setting in eg /etc/R/Renviron.site which is a convenience symbolic link to /usr/lib/R/etc/Renviron.site The file has comments, so see those. My (personal) version just comments the settings out so that I get R> .libPaths() [1] "/usr/local/lib/R/site-libr...
