[-mm PATCH 2/32] fs: fix-up schedule_timeout() usage
Description: Use schedule_timeout_{,un}interruptible() instead of
set_current_state()/schedule_timeout() to reduce kernel size. Also use
helper functions to convert between human time units and jiffies rather
than constant HZ division to avoid rounding errors.

Compiling kernel-2.6.13...
Hi. I'm trying to use CentOS4.2 for some audio work (ie. sound editing,
etc.). I found a site called PlanetCCRMA
(http://ccrma.stanford.edu/planetccrma/software/) and decided that I
would give some of their applications a try (hoping that it would not
affect my system greatly!).
At first I tried the Fedora 3 packages (and they do work), but what I
really wanted to do is to download the

[PATCH 2/12] ldt-accessors
Introduce a write acessor for updating the current LDT. This is required for
hypervisors like Xen that do not allow LDT pages to be directly written.
Testing - here's a fun little LDT test that can be trivially modified to test
limits as well.

[PATCH 1/5] Add pagetable allocation notifiers
Hooks are provided for the mach-XXX subarchitecture at the time prior to a
page being used as a page table at all levels, for PAE and non-PAE kernels.
Note that in PAE mode, multiple PDP roots may exist on the same page with
other data, so the root must be shadowed instead. This is not a performance
issue, since PAE only uses 4 top level PDPEs.
The hooks are:

[PATCH 4/12] tls-unnecessary-init
The per-CPU initialization code is copying in bogus data into
thread->tls_array. Note that it copies &per_cpu(cpu_gdt_table, cpu),
not &per_cpu(cpu_gdt_table, cpu)[GDT_ENTRY_TLS_MIN). That is totally
broken and unnecessary. Make the initialization explicitly NULL.

[RFC, PATCH 7/24] i386 Vmi memory hole
Create a configurable hole in the linear address space at the top
of memory. A more advanced interface is needed to negotiate how
much space the hypervisor is allowed to steal, but in the end, it
seems most likely that a fixed constant size will be chosen for
the compiled kernel, potentially propagated to an information
page used by paravirtual initialization to determine interface
compatibility.

I like that plan.
