IXFR regression in nsd 3.2.9?
We upgraded to NSD 3.2.9 (from 3.2.8) because we encountered the
problem "Fix denial of existence response for empty non-terminal that
looks like a NSEC3-only domain (but has data below it)." (a nasty
problem with DNSSEC). But we now have IXFR issues.
On one name server, NSD 3.2.9 works fine, zones are IXFRed and work.
On another name server, with much more zones (and big ones), we

I've tried several times to resize one of my ocfs volumes[see emcpowere1 below]
I'm on the latest [prod] version of ocfs/ocfs-tools as of 3pm EST on 18JUL04.
Per instructions...
Take down db, unmount all ocfs drives, use ' tuneocfs -F -S 100G /dev/emcpowere1 '
Supposedly this should work, but I get get....
The size specified, 100G, is larger than the device size, 59G.

virt-sparsify changing the apparent-size of files
Hello,
I am curious why when using virt-sparsify the apparent-size of the file
gets reduced to the actual file size? Is there a way to get the
apparent-size left as the full size?
In the man page for virt-sparsify it has a section on
"IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SPARSE OUTPUT IMAGES" and its output seems to
indicate what I would expect where "ls -lh" shows the full apparent size

Are your results from "top" similar to:
? ps axu | sort -nr -k +6
If you don't see 2.4G of use from applications, maybe the kernel is
using a lot of memory.? Check /proc/slabinfo.? You can simplify its
content to bytes per object type and a total:
? grep -v ^# /proc/slabinfo

Purging a large folder... anything I need to be careful of?
I've got a large message folder (about 40G in 'cur') that I need to
empty to a more reasonable size. Oddly, my Thunderbird e-mail client
only sees about 2.4G of that, and has "looped" a few times. What I mean
is, I thought someone was cleaning the folder out, but Thunderbird
apparently was actually just looping back to 0 every 4 gigs and starting
to count up again Ha.

Voicemail prompts garbled
I'm having problems with the voicemail prompts. The beginning of each
prompt is garbled. Prompts "edian mail" and "assword" can be
recognized, but when it starts on the short phrases it is completely
garbled. It is almost like the subsequent phrase starts before the
current phrase finishes.
I have isolated the LAN to the * box and the phones, so LAN congestion

Shorewall & IPSec gateway
To all,
I''ve just recently finished my "Security Gateway Server" project which
separates a 10 laptop WLAN subnet from our main LAN/Internet network. I
used Debian Sarge with kernel 2.6.9/ipsec-netfilter patched, and
Shorewall 2.2.0-RC3 on a Asus P4S533, 2.4 GHz PenIV and 512MB memory.
The Toshiba A60-S166, PenIV, 2.4G laptops run Windows XP Pro and have

No. virt-sparsify will use the same input and output formats, unless
you use the --convert option.

Slow copying over samba server to/from Windows XP
Hi!
Just like to know if anyone have the same problem and the solution for this:
At our company we buy that UNKNOWN os called MS XP Pro, after a while the users report some errors when they try to copy to our samba fileserver, before we use Win98 at the client side, and that problem was not observable.
The copy start at 50mbit/sec and somehow it's stops and just waiting waiting about 10-20

Asterisk capacity
Hi,
I am really interested in the true capacity that Asterisk can handle.
What is the maximum number of users that can be handled by Asterisk on a
standard 2.4G P4 IBM server or similar? Anyone has a clue?
Cheer,
Vincent
