Is the Doveadm HTTP API considered stable for production use?
Hi, I'm running 2.2.34 in production (installed from Debian stretch backports) and want to rework some scripts. Can the HTTP API be considered stable in 2.2.34 please? The wiki says it is "considered experimental in v2.2.22" so I thought I'd check before writing API calls rather than a wrapper around doveadm! -- James Beck Andrews & Arnold Ltd Tel: 03333 400999

changed behavior for dovecot-lda in 2.3.x
Hi all, Hey all, I upgraded to dovecot 2.3.1 (from 2.2.34) and noticed that the behavior for dovecot-lda changed. Apparently it no longer accepts -f "" or -f "<>? With 2.2.34, both were accepted now I get: root at mail:~# /usr/local/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-lda -f "<>" lda(root): Fatal: Invalid -f parameter: Null path not allowed or root at mail:~#

Authentication Problem with dovecot-2.3.0.1
I am a little confused here. I have been running 2.2.34 which I installed in /opt/dovecot2.2 I installed 2.3.0.1 to /opt/dovecot23 I then used config files from /opt/dovecot2.2/etc/dovecot to /opt/dovecot2.3/etc/dovecot and all I did was sed -i.BAK 's/dovecot2.2/dovecot2.3/g'. Dovecot started and was running file. Next, I manually crafted config files for 2.3.0.1 based on the example

Server certificate verification error with Dovecot 2.3.2.1
I'm attempting to upgrade my Dovecot installation to 2.3.2.1. My SSL certificate authority provides a bundle containing their CA, plus intermediate CAs, which I configure using the 'ssl_ca' option. The comments in the configuration file say to only set this when you're requiring client certificates, which I'm not, but fetchmail complains with a "Server certificate

install dovecot 2.2.35 debian jessie
Hey Aki Tuomi, how are you doing? I have tried many ways for getting 2.2.35 pre-built installed via 'apt-get install' in Debian Jessie and Stretch using the official repos. The reason I prefer to install pre-built instead of compiling it is because the I run it on dockers, so it's a lot easier and automated to just apt-get install it. I was using 2.2.31 devel in Debian Jessie, I

[BUG?] Double quota calulation when special folder is present
Just hoping to get some dev eyes on this. I'm incredibly reluctant to throw the word 'bug' around (since 99 times out of 100, it's not -- it's almost always the config), but I can't think of any way that this could be a config issue, esp when the pre-2.2.34 version works as expected. I noticed during troubleshooting that dovecot errors out if I try to create a subfolder
