R_LIBS_USER bugs
Hi, Having currently a big problem with R 2.10.1 vanilla (Solaris): As soon as the R_LIBS_USER env var gets bigger than 1023 chars R completely ignores it and uses the default: > Sys.getenv('R_LIBS_USER'); R_LIBS_USER "${R_LIBS_USER-~/R/i386-pc-solaris2.11-library/2.10}" The strange thing is, if I set another envar to the same

SYSLINUX 2.10-pre2 is out
I have released SYSLINUX 2.10-pre2. I *really* would like testing reports for this one, especially ISOLINUX, since I've included Knut Petersen's fix for Award BIOSes... Changes in 2.10: * MEMDISK: Handle images compressed with zip as well as with gzip. Some Windows-based image tools apparently generate these kinds of images by default. Patch by Patrick

problem with RGtk
Dear List, I would like to ask about package RGtk2 with which I have a problem. I will very much appreciate if somebody could tell me what I need to do. I need to install a package scdMicro and it depends on gWidgetsRGtk2. I am working on MAC, version 10.5.8. When I try to load gWidgetsRGtk2 (or RGtk2), it asks me: "Instal GTK+?" I installed Gtk+ from CRAN, and added a path: export

Upgrading To 2.10 from 2.6.2
Hello I have a Linux machine (Ubuntu 8.04 hardy, Gcc version 4.2.4 (i486-linux-gnu) currently running R 2.6.2. I'd like to upgrade to 2.10. First Question): What is the appropriate way to remove the old version of R? Part 2. After downloading r-base_2.10.0.orig.tar.gz and opening the archive. I ran the ./configure routine. It failed claiming that it could not find the F77 compiler. My

How to install sqldf to R with version 2.10?
Hi, How to install sqldf to R with version 2.10? I used the R in the cluster of university and there seems no way to update the R version to 2.14. However, I do need sqldf. I tried to install and there is the problem of namespace. How could I solve the problem of namespace and run sqldf on R with version 2.10? Thank you! Best, [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

(PR#14226) -- Re: libgfortran misplaced in Mac OS X R install (PR#14226)
I am the guy who compiles the OpenMx binaries. We would be delighted to place our package on CRAN, once the project is stable enough so that we are comfortable releasing it to the larger public. Let's try to track down where I made a mistake. Our Makevars.in file contains the line: PKG_LIBS=$(FLIBS) $(BLAS_LIBS) $(LAPACK_LIBS) In addition, on the build machine I noticed that a copy of

Cannot activate chm help in R 2.10
Dear all, I just tried to be fast for once, installed R 2.10 and also newly installed all previously-installed packages. However, now all my help files are text only, which is of course a pity with the new possibilities of links between help pages. What can I do to re-activate chm-help? chm-help does not work for anything, not even base functionality. My system is Windows XP, German locale

2.10 problem passing user options
In playing about with booting from USB, I discovered that 2.10 doesn't pass user-entered options to /proc/cmdline. I back-versioned to 2.04 and user options work again. Is this a known issue? Or perhaps an idiosyncrasy with my hardware? (I have to tell my mobo to boot from a USB-ZIP for the mem stick to actually boot) I'm new to the list. Perhaps there are archives I should be

CF boot stops after version and date output
SYSLINUX 2.10 2004-06-18 That is all I get when I boot my system off a CompactFlash card in an IDE adapter, no matter how long I wait. What debugging steps are recommended? I'm willing to get down and dirty with assembler, and I'd appreciate suggestions of what to suspect and where to start. Details: This is a Crucial 128MB CompactFlash card in a non-hot-swap CF-IDE adapter which

help in R 2.9.x for R 2.10.x packages
[Env: Win Xp] Is there any options() setting or call to help() or help.start() that will allow me to view a help file for a package built under R 2.10.x under R 2.9.2? I'm using both R 2.9.2 and R 2.10.1, but prefer the former because the CHM help is so much easier to use. Yet, if I install a package built for R 2.10.x, I can't find *any* way to display a help file in this package.

help.start() only recognizes forward slashes in R_LIBS_USER which is not the default case
I've found that the HTML help system started via help.start() requires all forward slashes in R_LIBS_USER otherwise the Packages page is corrupt/non-working. Note that by default R_LIBS_USER is set by R on startup. Example 1: With R_LIBS_USER=C:/Users/JohnDoe/R/win-library/2.10 > help.start() [and go to "Packages"] If nothing happens, you should open

How to explain this libvirt oddity w.r.t machine types?
Context: The baremetal host previously had QEMU 2.11. But I manually downgraded the QEMU version (via `dnf downgrade qemu-system-x86`); now it is at 2.10: $ rpm -q qemu-system-x86 qemu-system-x86-2.10.2-1.fc27.x86_64 The guest is offline. Let's see (in a couple of ways) what machine type it has while it is dormant: # virsh dumpxml cirros | grep -i machine= <type
