Hello I am new to the list, and recently began using Redhat Linux 9. I am also a new WINE user, I went to the binaries page and there seemed to be some many WINE binary packages, since I am new I did'nt know which one to download. I'm very new to wine, like Saturday to be exact. Any way, I'm having difficulty with configuration. Is there a nice online guide that explains the config file. Further, I'm having trouble getting wine to tell installer programs that it is at least win98se, as a great many programs fail to install. I will RTFM if someone points me to it. Thanks, TMS III

Previously, I had installed wine-20040615 via RPM for RH9, and some applications began working that had failed in the past. Yesterday, I downloaded wine-20041019-1rh9winehq.i686.rpm, That, in it self, was a chore, as the mirror sites in the US did not appear to have this rpm. Then, I switched to Germany. Hi, I am currently running this version of wine (wine-20031118-1rh9winehq.i386.rpm) on a RH9 OS. I installed MS Word 2000 and everything went well. However, every time I run MS Word, the configuration setup screen would appear. But after that, it seems that MS Word runs OK. There are also a number of messages coming out (see below).
