Apparent bug in summary.data.frame() with columns of Date class and NA's present
...p today:
https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-help/2016-February/435992.html
there appears to be a bug in summary.data.frame() in the case where a data frame contains Date class columns that contain NA's and other columns, if present, do not.
Example, modified from R-Help:
x <- c(18000000, 18810924, 19091227, 19027233, 19310526, 19691228, NA)
x.Date <- as.Date(as.character(x), format = "%Y%m%d")
DF.Dates <- data.frame(Col1 = x.Date)
> summary(x.Date)

Additions to the datasets package?
...wwwmaths.anu.edu.au/~john/r/newsets/
image (.rda) files, and first stabs at .Rd files for various data on
deaths in London from 1629 to 1939. (There are of course gaps.)
The sources (Guy 1882 & Stocks 1942) are documented in the
.Rd files:
(1) poxetc: measles, smallpox & total deaths: 1629-1881
[I have deliberately left several inconsistencies that were
in Guy's published data.]
(2) measles: 1629-1939 [This includes the measles data from (1)]
(3) whooping cough; 1740-1881.
I had been planning to add these data to the DAAG package.
I wonder however there is interest in adding them to...

Puppet hangs
Hello,
we have one puppet server managing approx servers, all FreeBSD.
The problem is that the puppet clients all hangs, one by one,
eventually. They will run for anything between an hour up to a week.
But eventually the all hang.
We really like puppet and want to keep using it. But the way it is now
is completely unusable. We''ve tried many versions, from 24.x, and now
2.6.1rc1. But
