amd64_edac: probe of 0000:00:18.2 failed with error -22 Logwatch shows this error on several machines - laptop and desktops - all running C 5.6. It never appears on the data centre servers. I have 'googled' but can not identify what error 22 is. One German posting suggests it is related to the Error Correction Code (ECC) of RAM. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ECC_memory suggests the

Formatting numbers with a limited amount of digits consistently
I have tried to get signif, round and format to display numbers like these consistently in a table, using e.g. signif(x,digits=3) 17.01 18.15 I want 17.0 18.2 Not 17 18.2 Why is the last digit stripped off in the case when it is zero! Is this a "feature" of R or did I miss something? --------------------------------------------- Henrik Andersson Netherlands Institute of

Dear All- I am trying to merge two data files - they have different date formats and different times zones. Remove Rows Based on Factor
Dear R Helpers, I did a search for deleting rows based on conditions but wasn't able to find an example that addressed the error that I am getting. I am hoping that this is a simple syntax phenomenon that somebody else knows off the top of their head. My apologies for not providing a reproducible example but I think that the information given will allow someone to give me a hint. I want to

Regarding mismatch in data rates of speex codec
Hi all, Accoring to the Table.8.1 and Table.8.2 of speex manual (Version 1.2 Beta 2), the data rates supported by speex codec for narrowband are 3.95, 5,95 ,8 ,11 ,15 ,18.2 and 24.6kbps. But when I run the code(downloaded from www.speex.org), I am getting data rates of 4,6,8,11.2,15,2,18.4 and 24.8 kbps. That is, for an input of 20ms frame the number of output bits I am getting are

standardGeneric seems slow; any way to get around it?
Hi, I'm running some routines with standard matrix operations like solve() and diag(). When I do a profile, the lead item under total time is standardGeneric(). Furthermore, solve() and diag() have much greater total time than self time. ??? I assume there is some time-consuming decision going on in the usual functions; is there any way to avoid that and go straight to the calculaions? Thanks
