contest is over, entries are judged, and cool prizes are awarded.

cAos/CentOS Users in Boston/New England area
I'm still looking for any volunteers in the Boston or New England
areas that would be willing to help out at LinuxWorld in February. It
goes Feb 14th - 17th, but the expo part is only 15th - 17th. If you
can't come all three days, that's fine, but I would appreciate if
there were a couple people that could come at least a day or two.
Also, If you help out you get a 3 day pass to the expo exhibits.
Here is more info on the event

It sounds like gitlab is not going to have this fixed very soon:

I think this is an interesting idea. It would increase exposure of Mesa

Seattle Meetup?
Hi all,
It looks like I''ll be in Seattle on Sunday, September 16th through
Tuesday the 18th, and I''d like to have Puppet Meetup either Sunday or
Monday night.
On Adam''s recommendation, I''ll be staying at the Queen Anne Inn, so
something near there would be best. Hopefully Adam or Blake can do
the actual organization. :)
Any takers?

what about Austin railers?
If Tuscon has some rail users, I know there must be some other Austin

Vorbis decoder chip on SparkFun
I'm open to flames if this has already been posted.
http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=8300
As of April 17th, SF listed a new Ogg Vorbis decoder chip that is
seriously listing for $10 USD. I'm excited. I think I'll buy a couple
and integrate them into an IR streaming project I've been tinkering with.

[LLVMdev] Cambridge LLVM Social next week
...St. George, at 7:30pm
http://gkpubs.co.uk/pubs-in-cambridge/fort-st-george-pub/
Weather permitting, there's a very nice beer garden and a good selection of
beers.
During this lame summer, we'll probably be repeating the same pub in hope
the shy sun will come out, so the next one, on the 17th of July (it's in
the calendar), will probably be on the same place.
Hope to see you there!
cheers,

Plotting histogram of RT data
Hey there,
I'm relatively new to R, and am currently working my way through some basic
tutorials. I have a large data set that I've been able to import into the
program. I'm using a script in which x=readdir (the directory). I am trying
to create a histogram of the data in the 17th column, which is response
time data ranging from ~200 to 15000. I have tried to create a histogram by
entering hist(x[,17]). However, the output that I receive has an x-axis
that is wayyy out with small values like 0e+00 up to 6e+05. All the data is
clustered together in one bar at 0e+00 and has a...

booting erro on FC3
I''m a newbie. :)
I followed the steps written by Jerone Young:
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=10562241
but i found an error at the 17th step:
17. mkinitrd /boot/initrd-2.6.10-xen0.img 2.6.10-xen0
it said:"No module ata_piix found for kernel 2.6.10-xen0, aborting."
so I commented the line of "module /boot/initrd-2.6.10-xen0.img" in the
grub.conf.
My grub.conf is like this:

Surely if I've set the domain policy of 60 day expiry, this should
override the pre-existing account expiry? I'm fairly certain this
account has existed for more than 60 days since the poli...
