Dave connecting to samba 17p4 trouble..
Hi, using Dave 2.0b3 under MacOS 8.0 with success. I got one minor problem. I can't consistently logon before I have mounted a samba share. Any solutions to this? Also, I need some advice on how to print to samba printers. Thanks for a great free product! Tore -- Tore H. Larsen Scase AS Engineer C. last desperate plea for help with NetWkstaUserLogon
...g off this authentication rule set? I found a very thorough description of NetWkstaUserLogon, but unfortunately, the samba debuging information doesn't map directly to the variables mentioned -- and I'm just not understanding the samba source code. I've traced our problem back to 1.9.17p4. Previous versions (17p2) worked fine. The following is in the 17p4 release notes. 4). Fix for security = server. Problem with previous workaround which caused machine logon restrictions on an NT server to fail. This code has been completely re-written. If anyone can identify these log...

1.9.16p11 and Windows 95 app conflicts
...Windows 95 programs to access the Samba shares. Many of the programs work, and we are dedicated to using Samba, and we have a lot of stuff out there, and we are using it effectively. But we have a few problems with a few programs. One of the possible solutions to this problem is to upgrade to 1.9.17p4; however we have a minimal make facility without a C compiler (although we should be getting the compiler in a month or two). Is there a way to get a pkgtool-ready binary set up for this newer Samba version? The version we are using now was set up this way, and it was a big help due to our lack...
