nt 4.0 printing to samba 17p2 as non-guest
...5 client, i can get access to all shares and printers
as a non-guest user as i wanted.
is there a particular setting in smb.conf to get nt 4.0 to use the printer
as a non-guest users? or is there something i am not doing to get nt 4
to access samba's printers as the logged on nt user?
i have 17p2 installed on sco.

Samba eating processes
This is a three part question.
1. =====================
With the upgrade to 18p4, samba is regularly causing our server to run
out of processes.
What is causing this? It never happened w/ 17p2.
OS: IRIX 6.2
log.smb has the following:

last desperate plea for help with NetWkstaUserLogon
...rule set?
I found a very thorough description of NetWkstaUserLogon, but
unfortunately, the samba debuging information doesn't map directly to
the variables mentioned -- and I'm just not understanding the
samba source code.
I've traced our problem back to 1.9.17p4. Previous versions (17p2)
worked fine. The following is in the 17p4 release notes.
4). Fix for security = server. Problem with previous workaround
which caused machine logon restrictions on an NT server to fail.
This code has been completely re-written.

Also in server B logfiles there is no evidence that client had tried to
call it up.
This option could be very useful once it works :)
Does anyone have any idea how samba is supposed to continue? What kind of
packet should be sent?
Here is a small patch for password.c (1.9.17p1 and maybe for 17p2). It
tries to remove possible mount options from nis_result.
