Cisco 1751 setup with asterisk
How hard is to setup Cisco 1751 w/2x FXO with asterisk? I was googling but couldn't find much information; how to access unit interface for programming? It might be a good replacement for Linksys. -- Joseph

Cisco SIP Gateway
...of my threads, I have been looking at Fritz! and Cologne cards, both of which require development against a specific version of asterisk/zaptel (e.g. chan_capi), which is intrusdive and causes a lag in deployment. I was thinking a better approach might be to use a seperate gateway, such as a Cisco 1751 with VIC-2BRI-NT/TE talking SIP to Asterisk, much like like an SPA3K in the analogue world. Any success stories? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/attachments/20080218/34c401c3/attachment.htm

Routing SIP to Cisco routers running IOS 12.3+
I've experiencing some difficulty passing inbound calls from the PSTN, through a large Asterisk switch and down our network to a Cisco 1751 router. This router has 4 FXS ports and is running IOS 12.3. Outbound dialing from phones on the FXS ports of the router works flawlessly, but inbound calls fail as though the Asterisk server does not see the extensions representing the FXS ports as available or registered. There is little to le...

Hi, I just got a comment from one of my IBM support engineeres that there is a problem with auth-passwd.c only calling authenticate() once. He claims it should potentially be called several times, in case several authetication methods are defined in /etc/security/user. F.ex.: SYSTEM = "NIS and DCE" Suggested (untested) patch should look like: ----------------- cut
