Wine DB question & Office 2010 & Bronze rating.
Our school only offers Office 2010 pro for students. If I wanted to install it on a friends Ubuntu computer, would there be any possibility it would work on a 32bit system? http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=17336 I noticed most people are using a trial version and not a CD installation with the full version. There might be a difference in the way it activates.... :/ Should I tell her to buy? It's only $30, but that would suck if it failed. side note: I have 2007, which works great, but they don'...

With the 32bit version I can choose what I would like to install, but the installtion didn't finish and there is also no helpful error message. I found this (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=17336) overview and would like to know if it is stil up to date.

Over 400 smbd pid's?
Over the past 2 days, my smbd processes are multiplying worse than rabbits. At least with rabbits it's easy to tell why you wind up with so many... Here's the setup: Samba version 3.2.8-0.24 installed via rpm on a FC6 box with 2 nics, both on the same subnet. The samba server acts as a PDC in a mixed environment but mostly windows pc's running xp. It is used mostly for file

[SUMMARY] Rails Core Weekly (May 23 - May 28)
Rails Core Weekly May 23 - May 28 [ http://wrath.rubyonrails.org/pipermail/rails-core/2006-May/001500.html ] On may 23 I just missed an opportunity to report on a patch (http://dev.rubyonrails.org/ticket/5167) politely submitted by Francois Beausoleil that adds a generator for observers. Marcel Molina Jr. hates repeating himself so a generator for observers is most welcome. The patch is applied

Updated Dovecot 2.3.0 now getting 2 strange log errors
I did some more digging around and found this is reproducible on multiple hosts running the same version of Dovecot/Pigeonhole/Postfix. The problem resurfaces on any host to an account with enabled Vacation/OOO response. The Vacation/OOO reply filter was created in Roundcubemail, but has been fine for years. One thing to note is in Dovecot 2.3.0 I did enable UTF8, but even if I disable UTF8

[LLVMdev] MergeFunctions: reduce complexity to O(log(N))
Hi Stepan, Sorry for the delay. It's great that you are working on MergeFunctions as well and I agree, we should definitely try to combine our efforts to improve MergeFunctions. Just to give you some context, the pass (with the similar function merging patch) is already being used in a production setting. From my point of view, it would be better if we focus on improving its capability
