About ISA DMA
Just curious whether Xen supports legacy ISA DMA for now which has requirement on lower 16M memory. If can, how is it supported since 1M-16M are occupied by Xen? Dom0 seems only setup fixmap for 0-1M physical memory... pxelinux and 2.6.9 kernel parameters
I am using RHEL4 with kernel 2.6.9. I can load this on my hardware by passing the following kernel parameter: memmap=496M at 16M, and it loads up and runs OK. If I do not use this parameter, I get a kernel panic. When I try to load the same software onto the same hardware using PXE, I add the same parameter on the server's tftpboot/pxelinux/pxelinux.cfg/default file: append initrd=some_file.gz memmap=496M at 16M On st...

[PATCH nbdkit] tests: xz: Use 16M block size when preparing disk for xz plugin test.
In a recent commit guestfish changed the default size for disk images prepared using the -N parameter from 100M to 1G: https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs/commit/adc23829e4b128562c2c29d984654528bd259644 For the xz plugin test we prepared a disk image using guestfish and then xz-compressing the output, but we did not take our own advice and use the --block-size parameter to limit the xz

[PATCH][XM-TEST] Test that tries to create a 16MB domain
This patch adds a test that tries to create a domain with only 16MB of RAM. It verifies that the domain is created and that the console works. Right now this test fails for me: the domain just dies immediately with no indication of why, or with any useful console data. Should we put a sanity check on xm''s create and mem-set commands that prevent the us...
