ADS - Not recognizing Domain Admin group membership (from 1 workstation only)

Looking at the log I see this when connecting as a Domain Admin from a good

and when connecting as a the same Domain Admin from the bad vista client:

Using %G for template homedir
...nally, I had specified the template homedir to have a
value of '/home/%D/%U'. This works just fine...
I would like to change it to '/home/%G/%U' but instead of seeing a
human-readable groupname emerge, I get the GID. A user's homedir ends up
looking something like '/home/16777220/ryanw'.
Can anyone shed some light onto this for me?

Man page for idmap_rid
...*:backend = tdb
idmap config *:range = 100001-110000
idmap config MYDOM : backend = rid
idmap config MYDOM : range = 65535-100000
I've set that and restarted nmbd, smbd and winbind services
When I do a wbinfo look up on my user with a UID of 1000, it has this:
theusername:*:16777216:16777220:The
Username:/home/MYDOM/theusername:/bin/false
Is this set up well or do I want the upper range to overlap with 16777216?

You do need to remove that, you do not sync local users to domain users,
you map domain users to be Unix users.

However, If I run the getent passwd command it lists local and domain users like this:

PCM+admin:*:16777370:16777216:Admin:/home/PCM/admin:/bin/false
Once I run the getent authentication starts working again and I can login for 5 or 10 mins before it stops working...

When i try to retrieve the user using getent passwd it returns nothing
[root at srvfs log]# getent passwd ulisesbonilla
