error in kmeans
I am trying to generate kmean of 10 clusters for a 165 x 165 matrix.
i do not see any errors known to me. But I get this error on running the
script
Error: empty cluster: try a better set of initial centers
the commands are

Fwd: another problem with printing
Hi!
I have Samba version 3.0.10-1.4E.9 installed and CUPS v1.1.22rc1. the
network printer is Xerox WorkCentre 4150. Once in a while (about every
20-30 jobs) i get an error

factor issue
...h I have to convert from factors to numeric. I am using
the command as.numeric(variable) to do this. But when I convert the numeric
value becomes different from factor . for example.

EOF error at io.c line 165
Hello All,
I keep getting rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (1074142 bytes read so far)
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(165). Does
anyone have any idea of what could cause this? I've gotten the same error on
two seperate machines. One UltraSparc running Linux and the other a
SparcStation running OpenBSD. We have an x86-SMP system running linux on the
same network, and it works fine.

Proper apply function for matrices embedded in lists
Hi:
I have a small problem that I'm not quite sure how to figure out. I've
generated some randomized (permutated) data which consists of nrows=3 by
ncols=165 (see below) per element (3 x 165 = 495 sub-elements).

ssh. I am using a vpn but have no problems connecting to any of the
servers with it. This is the full error message I get:
Remote Machine: Connection refused
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes read so far)
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(165)
Here is the command I am using
rsync -r --timeout=600 user@remote machine:/opt/u91/scripts/sqlpath/*
/home/oracle/sqlpath
I am a new user to rsync and any suggestions or help would be much
appreciated.
