A Billion Files on OCFS2 -- Best Practices?
We have an application that has many processing threads writing more than a billion files ranging from 2KB ? 50KB, with 50% under 8KB (currently there are 700 million files). The files are never deleted or modified ? they are written once, and read infrequently. The files are hashed so that they are evenly distributed across ~1,000,000 subdirectories up to 3 levels deep, with up to 1000 files

sanitize dangers
I''ve noticed that it is possible to pass javascript unaltered through the sanitize function using CSS. For example: sanitize( "<style type=''text/css''>body{background-image:url(''javascript:window.alert(1)'') }</style>" ) IE will execute the javascript. Firefox will not. I haven''t tried it with any other browsers.

[LLVMdev] Symlink to llvm-config returns wrong results on Linux
It should be noted that a symlink to the built llvm-config will return the paths for the system llvm instead of the built llvm; it's fine on OS X though. Some differences in realpath?

Rails app lags after inactivity
Hi all. I have two Rails applications. Each is on its own VPS hosted by Pipespring (excellent service btw). My app runs lightning quick - AFTER the first load. If I visit my site after a period of inactivity (i.e. no visitors to my site), it takes up to 10 seconds to load that first time. After that I can hop around with no problems. Has anyone run into this before? Ideas? - Rabbit
