Scatterplot3d model reporting question
I've used the scatterplot3d function to graph some data and had it graph a "smooth" fit. Is there a way to actualy find out the function of the surface? I've looked through the help and figured out how to get it to report the following: Family: gaussian Link function: identity Formula: y ~ s(x, z) Parametric coefficients: Estimate Std. Error t value Pr(>|t|)

Problem with fitdistr for gamma in R 2.2.0
Dear R developers, I have encountered strange behaviour of fitdistr for gamma in recent R build i.e. 2.2.0. I have attached the code for data at the end of this mail so you can reproduce the problem. In short, I am able to run fitdistr under 2.1.0 without problems, while I get the following error under 2.2.0 (Version 2.2.0 Patched (2005-11-15 r36348)) > fitdistr(otm, "gamma") Error

Hi Andres, Ok -- I've added some API for this in 438db0719681: You can get the string pool from the execution session with LLVMOrcExecutionSessionGetSymbolStringPool, then clear that with LLVMOrcSymbolStringPoolClearDeadEntries. -- Lang. puppet: 3.1.1 -> 3.2.1 load increase
Hi, I recently updated from puppet 3.1.1 to 3.2.1 and noticed quite a bit of increased load on the puppetmaster machine. I''m using the Apache/passenger/rack way of puppetmastering. Main symptom is: higher load on puppetmaster machine (8 cores): - 3.1.1: around 4 - 3.2.1: around 9-10 Any idea why there''s more load on the machine with 3.2.1? -- You received this

Especially during the "spiff" test the machine was swapping

Dear R-helpers, We marked 6000 leaves from 5 SPECIES - 10 individuals/species - in two different TREATMENTs: a control and a dry-plot from which 50% of incoming precipitation was excluded. We followed those leaves for 42 months and noted the presence and absence at each visit. I then carried out a Cox Harzard model to see differences in leaf mortality between parcels and among species over time:

LLVMers, The 2.1 pre-release (version 1) is available for testing: http://llvm.org/prereleases/2.1/version1/ I'm looking for members of the LLVM community to test the 2.1 release. There are 2 ways you can help: 1) Download llvm-2.1, llvm-test-2.1, and the appropriate llvm-gcc4.0 binary. Run "make check" and the full llvm-test suite (make TEST=nightly report). 2) Download
