Getting autoexpunge to work
dovecot 2.2.33.2 (d6601f4ec) on Ubuntu 18.04
The recent announcement that expunge is going to be deprecated and
that autoexpunge should be used instead reminded me that my recent
switch over to autoexpunge is not working.
There has been an active discussion today about getting expunge
working so I thought I'd use the commands suggested there to figure
out why autoexpunge might not be doing

get means of elements of 5 matrices in a list
I've got a list of 5 matrices that are each 5 x 6. I'd like to end up with a
5 x 6 matrix that contains the mean value of the 5 original matrices. I can
do this by brute force, but there must be a better way than making each
matrix into a vector and then remaking a matrix
thanks very much for any help

openssl update
Hi all,
Just a quick Q on the new openssl update. I recently converted from
wbel3 to centos3, so my installed version of openssl _seems_ newer than
the new version. Below are some details that may help... So the
question is... should I force the install of the newly released version?

Transparent IMAP proxy
Hi,
I'm considering patching Dovecot to work as a transparent (and virus
scanning) IMAP proxy.
What is the appropriate feature to extend? (I've considered the
following: IMAPC and reverse proxying, with IMAPC looking more promising
since it actually parses IMAP communication).
Can anyone who is familiar with the IMAPC code recommend what are the
most appropriate locations in the

How to create home directories for virtual users?
Hello,
I,m using Dovecot 1.2.9, now finishing a migration from Courier IMAP.
Documentation (http://wiki.dovecot.org/VirtualUsers/Home) says that home
directory should not be the same as mail directory. When I create new user
accounts with PostfixAdmin the mail directory is not a problem but is there
some smart way to create the home directory as well (locating it for instance

Vpopmail Dynamic Authentication Module
Hello,
We currently use qmail with vpopmail for e-mail and are looking to switch
from courier-imap to dovecot for IMAP on our RedHat EL 5 systems. Our goal
is to use the dovecot RPM supplied by RH (v1.0.7) if at all possible. We
can do this if we are able to dynamically load the vpopmail auth module.
The wiki (http://wiki.dovecot.org/CompilingSource) notes that this should
be possible:
