Config serial/contact on Cyberpower UPS PR1500LCDRTXL2U
...ans Utility Power is normal. Low means 'Power Failure'. III. Shutdown UPS: Pin(4): High 10-15 sec to 'Shutdown' UPS. Pin 1 and 8 are open collectors; the pull high pin is 7. When using the contact closure port, pull pin 7 high. Pin 7 can support standard RS232 voltage up to 15V. If the high voltage comes from pin 7, and pin 7 is 5V, the high level is 5V; if pin 7 is 15V, the high voltage is 15V. When using Shutdown function (Pin 4), the level should be 15V(RS232 level) Thanks Jesper

Powercom BNT-800AP
...I've changed the 4th/final coefficient to +5.0, but haven't tested extensively (with fluctuating voltages). The input/output voltage appears to be swapped _most of the time_. When doing a battery test, or when unplugged, the input stays steady, and the _output_ voltage reports a drop to ~15V. OTOH, when the UPS is shutdown, the ordering appears correct, as the input stays steady, and the output shows ~5V. For the above, the Powercom upsmon software appears to special-case those ~5/15V results, and on the next update, report it as 0V. I have no idea how to even special-case the screw...

Weekend Puzzle: computer posing as an UPS
...if given a capable supply. Looks like 5V 5A, and it won't negotitate higher voltages. There's an official supply that does PD https://www.newark.com/raspberry-pi/sc1153/power-supply-usb-c-5-1v-5a-white/dp/82AK3955 and the output spec is 5A at 5.1V, 3A at 9V, 2.25A at 12V, 1.8A at 15V looks like a TUV seal I find Jim's way of using this interesting, but my approach is totally different. First, when I'm using a Pi, it's because I want a low power computer that I can leave on all the time, or can place in a different physical location I don't particularly wa...

Problems with NUT 2.7.2 on CentOS 7 and using the Mini-Box OpenUPS
...ant as battery voltage, output voltage and output current are OK. Mini-box support and documentation are very poor too - but you can?t help with that! I hope you can comment on the attached debug output which you requested. I?ve provided two - one on battery and the other on input power (which is 15v for my OpenUPS). (I have higher debug level options available but you asked for -DDD) The command I used to start the driver was /usr/sbin/usbhid-ups -DDD -a openups Finally, I?d be interested in the additional debug modes for usbhid-ups. This isn?t a ?production system? currently; it?s my home a...

Serial port problem
Since about v0.9 I've been unable to get wine to reliably receive characters on the serial port. Sending is fine. The latest version I've tried is 1.1.23, and this always loses the first two characters of a line, then randomly loses some of the later ones. Is anyone else seeing the problem? It's an absolute show-stopper for me because the only Windows software I use needs serial coms
