Date on x-axis of xyplot
...te a new dataframe (pollstack) which includes begdate. In the process
begdate seems to lose its date attribute so I redo it as:
> pollstack$begdate<-as.date(pollstack$begdate)
after which
> attach(pollstack)
> summary(pollstack)
