Slow windows network with gplpv driver.
...rk performance.
Doing most of the testing on a xen system that currently is not in production.
Running xen 4.0 with 2.6.32 kernel from lenny backports.
Have xp service pack3 freshly installed with no updates.
Installed gplpv gplpv_XP_0.11.0.213.msi
hdtack gives 60mb/sec which is good
iperf gives ~15Mbits/sec
Without gplpv is about hte same.
A linux pv domu gives 686Mbits/sec
Shows it as using Xen Net Device Driver.
Things that I have tried that did not help:
Disable Checksum Offload.
Disable Large Send Offload.
Disable Scatter/Gather.
Adding /patchptr to boot.ini
Any Ideas?

Multiple ISP + traffic shapping = poor download speed
...ich has replaced my hard to maintain home-made scripts.
First, what works.
Our local network is 10.48.X.X with multiple vlan, each on a dedicated interface. We use Shorewall 4.4.11 from Debian Squeeze.
We have a 2 ISP:
- isp1 : an optical fiber provider with 10 Mbps.
- isp2 : a DSL provider with 15Mbits/1Mbits.
We use isp2 as the default outgoing provider. The isp1 provider is used for "critical" services (SSH...) and for incoming connections (VPN...).
Our interfaces file :

isp1 eth0 detect logmartians,nosmurfs,routefilter=0,tcpflags

1) I guess this APU is something other than x86? 15Mbits is *glacially*
slow, regardless of what's used for the connection.
2) have you tried the same setup with macvtap (since you can't get vlans
working, maybe just try an apples-apples comparison of traffic with no
vlans on both setups) and seen markedly better performance?
3) You should b...
