Now I am running /dev/VG/root which is running Xen0. I have created a Xen config file to boot a VM with disk: /dev/VG/suse. In other words I want to boot /dev/VG/suse as a virtual machine. Subsequently, I need to find the intersection point of this fitted curve with y=1.01 The problem is I have a lot of values so I want to be able to do it all at once. linear regression for grouped data
Hi, I have been examining large data and need to do simple linear regression with the data which is grouped based on the values of a particular attribute. For instance, consider three columns : ID, x, y, and I need to regress x on y for each distinct value of ID. Specifically, for the set of data corresponding to each of the 4 values of ID (76,111,121,168) in the below data, I should invoke

Zaptel compilation problem on SUSE
I'm trying to install * 1.2.5 for the first time on SUSE 10, 64bit (I've previously used Fedora or Centos). After I installed the kernel sources and followed some instructions on Novell's web site to copy the Module.symvers.gz file across from /boot and do a make modules_prepare, I was successfully able to complete 'make linux26' in my /usr/src/zaptel folder. I'm still

SuSE 10 dom0 network and console problem
Hello, I have a problem getting the domain 0 (dom0) of xen running with SuSE 10. I have a SuSE 10 installation, which runs. When I switch to the xen kernel, the network does not work any more. Also the serial console does not work any more. If I login to the PC through (a very lousy) KVM, I can do local stuff, but the network does not work. (Ok, I can ping my own IP Address.) e.g. nslookup

Hi I need to use rep() to get a vector out, but I have spotted something very strange. See the reproducible example below. N <- 79 seg <- 5 segN <- N / seg # = 15.8 d1 <- seg - ( segN - floor(segN) ) * seg d1 # = 1 rep(2, d1) # = numeric(0), strange - why doesn't it print one "2"? rep(2, 1) # 2, ok rep(2, d1 / 1,1) # 2, this

I fit a simple one level random effects model by: myfit <- lme( y~1, rand = ~1|Group) The REML estimates of between and within Group effects are .0032 and .53, respectively; the between group component is essentially zero as is clearly evident from a
