fax <--> grandstream 286 <--> asterisk <--> pstn
Hi all,
Im having problems using a fax machine conected trough a grandstream
286 sip ATA, it must be able to send and recive fax from pstn, but fax
always ends with communication errors 252/244/232 and others.
Im using alaw/ulaw codes on pass trough mode, also have tried asterisk
faxdetection, nvfaxdetect, disable echo cancellation by hand always
with same results.

Can't receive Faxes with Asterisk (help)
Hi,
I have an Asterisk CVS-HEAD-08/29/05-13:21:43 built on a Redhat 9.
I have problems to receive faxes with spandsp-0.0.2pre11 and
libtiff-3.5.7-11.
I'm trying with a fax machine Panasonic KX-FT25, 14.4Kbps modem speed.
I have tested sending a Fax document from Asterisk to the fax machine,
it is working fine, but when I try to receive with asterisk, I receive
transmission error on the fax

Free Fax for Asterisk -- benchfax utility hangs.
I'm trying to install my first channel of FAX. When I run the benchfax
utility, I get to various stages and then the program simply hangs.
There is no excessive CPU utilization and the benchfax program readily
responds to ^C. Sometimes I get fairly far into the test, other times
it hangs almost immediately.
The version of benchfax version I'm using is 1.0.7. I heard tell of a

I previously posted about this problem and received suggestions
involving turning off echo cancellation. As far as I can tell, echo
cancellation is already disabled on this channel, so I'm back.
What I've got is a small home setup with a single four-port Digium card:

The future for open streaming solutions at the BBC?
Hi all,
I recently emailed a query to the maintainers of BBC London website
(http://bbc.co.uk/london) asking if they had any plans to move away from
Real Server as a means for streaming audio and Video of their live radio
and tv broadcasts to something a bit more cross platform like OGG/Vorbis
or even MP3's. The reply I received was :
"I'm afraid we only plan to use Real Player
