Samba with Mac files?
...on those file names, and yet samba displays them with ??? in the front. The "Icon?" is the folder icon resource that any Mac machine creates in any folder they dive in to. If I try to run a 'du' on the mount, I get errors like this: $ du -h --max-depth=1 31G ./ INKJET 132M ./Font Library du: cannot access `./ICON?': No such file or directory 680M ./Jon S Folder 8.0K ./Network Trash Folder 8.0K ./RECYCLER If I run rsync on the mount (which is ultimately what's going to happen,) the first run gives me errors on the three "weird" file...

Asterisk stops responding
I am having a problem with an Asterisk 1.6.2.15 server that runs a small call center with Queuemetrics. In the past month we've had this problem 3 times. The problem is that Asterisk simply stops responding. No calls in or out and you cannot even get to the CLI. The process seems to be running but there is simple no activity. All I see in the log files is: [Jan 14 16:30:46]

strange behaviour of domU - i/o performance tests
...h iozone3. One scenario is a domU with file-backed VBDs (root and swap) as sda1 and sda2 lying on an nfs-kernel-server (2.6.14.4 - Debian Sarge). The exact iozone command is: iozone -a -R -b result.xls -f /tmp/iozone.test -n 1m -g 256m -i 0 -i 1 As soon as the iozone-test comes to a filesize of 132M, the complete! system (including dom0) hangs, no more access possible! Every time the complete system has to be rebooted. I experienced this behaviour both with Xen 3.0.0 and Xen 3.0.1 compiled from source. It is an reproducable error. I''d appreciate if anyone had a clue on why this i...

Is anyone else having trouble getting some RPMs from vault? When I navigate to http://vault.centos.org/debuginfo/5/i386/ ...and try to click on (e.g.) kernel-PAE-debuginfo-2.6.18-8.1.3.el5.i686.rpm I get 404 errors (The requested URL /debuginfo/5/i386/kernel-PAE-debuginfo-2.6.18 -8.1.3.el5.i686.rpm was not found on this server). But then if I wait a while and try again, maybe I get it. Is

Openshot 2.x (beta) on C7??
I'm interested in trying out the new OpenShot beta (2.06) on CentOS 7. Openshot requires Python3. so I look at available packages where I find a bunchof python3 packages as well as python34 packages. I'm assuming that python34 is version 3.4 of python, while python3 is some other 3.x version. Can anyone here explain to me what are the differences, any compatibility across these
